Have you considered changing Melt Armor too? I’m playing with a hybrid Sign/Sword build and I was thinking at Melt Armor as a skill that can benefit sword’s damage, but it appears it doesn’t do much.
Ok...But there is no other mod that modified the crossbow‘s damage... Yes, there are conflicts between more reasonable damage and better skills, but I think it will not influence Steady Shot.
Additionally, what do "perks" mean? I am sorry that I am not a Native speaker and I can't figure out the meaning of perks.
The skills, they're called perks sometimes. Alright, if you have a conflict with any mod, you have to merge them. It's possible that the other mod that is conflicting and messing with that one skill. Cuz I believe that skill is in its own file completely, so the other skills are work fine because that file isn't getting conflicts.
Actually, I just thought of something. Could you install the latest strings file as well and overwrite it in my mod. I believe there was a mistake where the steady shot changes weren't showing cuz the strings weren't updated. See if that fixes it maybe.
Yes, I merge all the script conflicts since there are nearly 170 mods. And the latest string has been downloaded already... But never mind, this question can be ignored because the other modifications are good enough. This game is just going to have all sorts of weird problems. :)
I didn't want to break certain skills by making them too OP, I just wanted to buff them slightly while keeping them balanced. If you feel that Firestream is too weak, you should buff your sign intensity and pop potions and stuff like that. You should check out my Essential Weapons Rework mod as well. There I have lots of weapons that drastically buff different spells and attack dmg.
I agree with the idea of intensity balance, but Firestream's revenue is almost zero, and most players would not choose it. Aard Sweep and Magic Trap are very useful.
Mm, idk. Firestream can easily be broken in late game builds, especially if you're using other mods like Slots Slots Slots and you unlock all Mutagen slots. There's so many ways that all your signs can just be insanely powerful with sign intensity going over a thousand. The spell is fine honestly. You just gotta build into it. With the Firestream buff specifically, I just reverted it back to the dmg it had back at the launch of the game in 2015 and made it a consistent 100 as oppposed to 70 min and 100 max. Now the min is 100, meaning it's even stronger than before. Honestly, once you unlock the mutation where spells can crit, Firestream becomes a beam of destruction in end game.
You should also check out Additional Alchemy mod. That's an essential mod IMO as it adds like 31 new decoctions into the game. It adds a decoction specifically for Firestream making it really fun to use.
After multiple attempts, Magic Sensibility was used separately, Conductors of Magic 。 My conclusion is that Firestream still has lower damage than IGNI with regular effects, and Conductors of Magic has higher damage
This mod is quite practical. Especially the modification of steady shot, which changes the boring experience of water combat. However, the Yrden Sign is just unbalance now, since the enemies almost freeze in the sign. After all, it is a good mod providing more choices in the game. :)
Enemies freeze with Yrden? I definitely don't have this problem. 70% shouldn't make them freeze. Only if it was at 100%. Anyway, if you want to change the params youreself, download xTcModkit. You can uncook the mod and edit the params yourself and then cook the mod once your finished to install it.
Thank for getting back! I tried the alternative strings file too but the error remains. It's nothing major though, so if you only you have time to spare. Otherwise, the mod works just fine.
That's weird. I'm 100% sure the strings file download fixes that error. You're talking about this error right, "prevoius" to "previous"? Or is there another error I don't know about.
It is that error. I tried replacing all the string files of all the different languages. If you are certain that had been fixed in one of the files, I will try again later today and confirm again.
They're in strings. I'm not sure how to find them in the original files, so I just made my own. You have to know the name of the skill/description you want to edit in the skills.xml file, and then you can create your own strings from that. It's kind of a complicated process.
