Vortex Support is now available, and will be from now on, on each mod. There's the three file in the Misc section you need to download. If there is some easier way to upload the three file together, please let us know. If this is the way, then enjoy all.
I am on 1.32!
Update comes when there's time for the Beasts mod. Do not ask about it, please. 2023.04. 22. Slowly getting back to modding the games, but while the weather is good, not spending too much time on the computer, but will definitely bring new mods, updates in the future.
Besides the monster and animal project, there will be something for humans too. Including all the quest characters, and background characters. Men, women and children. Diversity, clothes and stuff. It was also planned years ago, but things happened. Always wanted to give more life to the game, so hopefully can do in the future with the Bear. Hope this monster mod is likeable for many.
The update will happen tonight - 2023.02.17. Hopefully can manage to finish what was planned. Decided to add two version at the end, one for the vanilla beasts only, with only some more animal variety, and later on the other for the more diversity for everything. As said, to avoid texture limit, if people have lots of texture mods.
Thanks for the update brother, but I'm still confused after reading most of your description. The second file, is it an add-on or a replacer? Are we suppose to install both files or pick one only?
Hali. Sometimes the description can be messy, i admit. But, what the second update contains, you need to replace all the files you had from the first upload. And the second file contains vanilla creatures, and adds new entities to the game too, for hares, chickens, cats and rats. And also adds some unique look for quest bears, so they won't share on the brown bear. As in vanilla you either see a brown, a black or a white bear all around. So, you need all the three file from the Second Update, but you don't need the old files, because they were changed.
People! You don't need the first version to be able to use the second. If you had the first version just delete the files from it. If you didn't use the first version, don't download, because you don't need it. Just go for the second update, because that is the same mod, just with more stuff in it. Sorry for the confusion. Added the first version to the old files, so it might be better that way.
Greetings, I'd just like to check something is in order According to script merger there is a conflict in one of the rat xbm files (t_01__rat_d02.xbm to be specific). This conflict though is between both of the folders of this mod As such I'd just like to check if this is intentional or a simple mistake
Hali. Whenever i upload a mod, i make sure there's nothing wrong. I do use script merger, but never getting anything from it when we make the mods. No idea why would that file appear as conflict. And i can't even help, really. As i never have problems with my own stuff.
It looks like this is happening because you haven't assigned any priority to either [modPawsBeasts] or [modPawsBeasts Textures] in your mod.settings priority list. This doesn't normally happen if you aren't using a mod.settings priority list because by default [modPawsBeasts] wins over [modPawsBeasts Textures]. If you assign both of them a priority (either the same priority or give [modPawsBeasts] priority over [modPawsBeasts Textures], it should fix the confilct.
Hello, I love your mods, I found out that there are no diverse dogs, bears and cats in this collection pack, can I expect you to join the diverse animal collection? I'm already close to 200 mods, so I can't spare any extra slots for a variety of animals
Thank you for your comment. Glad its working nicely. Sadly these days its hard to spend more time on big projects due to work, but hopefully will be able to update this mod later.
Currently working on the crowd women faces, that will be finished soon. Then might spend time on the third update for the monsters. Left a little note on the top comment i shared, though.
You keep asking, HoreNxd. For weeks while i was at the computer, mainly spent that time on modding, and got a bit exhausted. I am on a few days break now. And also i am an adult person, i am closer to 30 years old, so need to do other, more important things too. Everyone should understand this, modders have their own life too. And we are not paid for this modding. Just look at my mod page, and see the time between each. It was too much. Still spending long hours on our works, so just be patient, please.
We got another user saying "we didnt keep our promise". On a different mod. Huh? There's no promises here. It is just possible that we may bring new things. But this is just modding, and in real life anything can happen that prevent us from giving more to Nexus Mods.
Just be patient, the werewolf will be in the next update. Cant say when, because maybe i say it will be ready in a day or two, and tomorrow i break my leg, i don't know. Of coruse don't want to end up with a broken leg. Just understand, all i ask. And the bear, he would possibly delete your comment, it will be his choice. And i am just the patient side.
Love the reshades - it gives a new feeling to the same old enemies. A+++
I noticed that necrophage are very red from a distance and when approaching and the new textures load in, they turn more muted. Is this a known bug/feature - like the old meshes are still seen from a distance until the new ones load in?
I spent time testing this today on Next Gen. Since these are based on 2K models in 1.32 (I assume), I was wondering if they were still superior to HD Monster Reworked 4K models which is what Next Gen uses.
The answer is yes. Even on a 42" 4K OLED the difference between 4K and 2K is not noticeable unless you turn on god mod and zoom the camera in to stare at them. Beast of the Paws has a much nicer color scheme and other fixes.
I think the vanilla quality is perfectly alright for the game, while you really don't see them up close. Or some people are opening the game, and do the full zoom just to stare at the monsters? I try to pay attention to vanilla seams and other things, but there are bits i can't fix. For example when a model is broken, i can't bother. Can of course edit them, but that is too much hassle for such a tiny thing. Like the town dog, the small one has neck issues, so probably that is why it has fake fur, to hide that ridiculous looking area. Also i don't get why CDPR used so many pink in the game, and why made the creatures look like they just came out of water, as it is supposed to be "shine" due to the light. Even Geralt looks so pink in his vanilla form. And i am just being honest. And really it is a lot of work, even if people think it's not. One texture can take 1-2-3 hour. Just one. While we are thinking what should be the best combination, and before anyone is thinking it is a team working on these mods, no. It is me, Dhu Blaidd, and my partner. Who is having great ideas, and without him it couldn't really work, honestly. I made Roach look better, because she is appearing a lot, but still not 4K because it's pointless, in my opinion. Of course there are animals for example that needs to be edited, but not sharpened. They need actual changes, that will actually bring improvement. But good to know it works on Next gen too. Thank you for testing.
I literally just forgot that's the way for the Vortex. Sorry. I realised i did the same for the few first mods that was shared when they had more files. Well, hope it helps now. The files are together.

Now the old files section makes it clear.
Just didn't want to miss some fancy animal...

Yep I have this problem as well
