I did everything according to the instructions. I installed the mod manually and through Mod Merger, but the camera still doesn't change its position. Key bindings don't work, and nothing changes even through the mod settings.
Also, after I make changes on any given axis, the moment I release "alt" it reverts back to the initial value, so I cannot make any effective change...
Endorsed! I, thank ye, for composing such a mod! To dub this as PERFECTLY ADVANCEDCLOSE-CAMERA and seeing as you are presumably still active (as of 13 September, on your update on Magic Spells) - it'd be great to have an option that can remove the automatic zoom-out from dodging and rolling or implement adjustable options for them. I've been going around to try to find a perfect camera mod for my troublesome dilemma and this one is close to what I desire! I'm an avid fan of close over-the-shoulder camera like God of War PS4/Ragnarok and For Honor - so my immersion during intense combat pretty much immediately shatters when the camera zooms out when you dodge and roll.
I'm quite aware Absolute Camera has the feature and able to disable the automatic zoom-out from dodging and rolling but I don't sit well with Absolute Camera seeing as the camera positioning isn't rather fixed at Geralt's motionand Geralt would often nearly go out of the camera when you turn your camera sideways when he's sprinting, and it comes across as somewhat an odd feeling that keeps nagging me to the point I uninstalled it, don't get me wrong for those who appreciate Absolute Camera, and no offense to the creator of Absolute Camera! Absolute Camera is a fine work, and so as this one. And if Absolute Camera can, then this mod can, although it is within the mod's creator's rights to decide what he wants with this mod.
It's okay to mind a peasant like me to request such stuff but I would be much appreciated and grateful to disable the automatic zoom-out from dodging and rolling, as I stated. To me, it would embody the very definition of ADVANCED CLOSE-CAMERA. Thank you very much, fellow witcher for contributing to your kind! Have a great day!
Hi so, it seems to have installed. But I'm having two issues 1) the mod is in the mod menu but i can't click on it and open it 2) Combat camera works fine but exploration doesn't work at all, I've tried changing the key binds and everything. There was a conflict during the merge which I solved I think but it could be caused by that.
Ohh, I must have done something wrong on my end. I can no longer see the mod in the pause menu. I'll check it again. Thank so much for confirming ElementaryLewis.
Am I stupid or should canter and gallop be switched? Haven't messed around w/ it in a few weeks but recall when changing gallop, it actually changed the camera for canter and vice versa.
Also, unless I misunderstood or am simply dyslexic, aren't "Forward/Backward" switched too? As in moving the slider to the left (backwards) zooms out, while moving the slider to the right (forward) zooms in. If so, then shouldn't it be listed as "Backward/Forward", or wouldn't it make more sense to use "-/+", or even zoom out/zoom in instead? Just a thought.
It's kinda incredible that outta the several hundreds of users who have installed and are using this mod, you and I are the only ones who've mentioned it. While I'm sure there are a few others who've noticed it but haven't said anything, I highly doubt it's more than a handful. It makes you think about the average user, and question what exactly is going on in their head (if anything at all?)...
Hey, thank you and ElementaryLewis for the update!
One question though: Can I delete Input.txt and menu.txt if I don't care for keybinds? Actually, what do the lines in menu.txt do? I've never seen a mod add those.

Any thoughts??
I verify the scripts and none of them affect updated script from 4.04 patch.

The values are also mixed up.

Actually, what do the lines in menu.txt do? I've never seen a mod add those.
The menu file contains necessary stuff to enable changing the key binds in the game's control options.
