Is it normal to get pretty bad color banding with this mod during certain "clear night" weather conditions? I might just need to experiment with it more but it can be very distracting when it happens.
Hi! Unfortunately it is, the game has some terrible colour banding at times, and the mod exacerbates them. I haven't found a way to mitigate them instead of enabling HDR using the DX12 version.
Hey , quick question here . Im asking here because the posts are closed . Having an issue with the mod not starting immediatly after talking to nps/merchants/other characters .Have encountered this almost every time after exiting a conversetion in White Orchard, Wyzima and Velen. Any clues what might cause this? Setting for DN are all default. Its not that big of a deal but the transition feels bad to they eye.
These two pictures will help me make more sense. They were taken 1 second apart( usually 2 seconds after exiting the convo with the npc for the mod to take effect)

I've tried running the script merger but it doesn't get anything. I actually took out the modDarkerNightsNGEEnhanced folder and the game was able to load up with the Darker Nights mods menu, but obviously there is not effect with the sliders. Any ideas?
I'd try to install the mods manually = copy/paste folders (darker night + shared imports) and don't forget the dlc folder; as I'm not sure if mod manager is 100% reliable in this game.
Yeah I didn't realize that the modSharedimports shown on my screen had a modSharedImports folder inside of it! It's what i get for doing a bit of 2 AM modding. works now, thanks!

Anyone know how to make the darkness only working at Night ? I'm pushing the Global Darkness Intensity to 80 to keep the game pure dark for the night but when the Day on it still too dark
I am having the same issue, with the moon throwing rays at night. I am not using any lighting mods other than DN.....I will play around with the ray tracing settings....
I just installed the new update (DNE 2.6), for some unknown reason it only seems to work in Toussaint, no matter what I choose in the mod menu. The other regions just sport the vanilla bright night. The previous version (DNE 2.53-HBAO) was working fine for me, but it seems it's no longer available to download. (archived). Any chance you could make it downloadable again? Thanks in advance
Indeed my bad I put it in the archive by mistake! Here it is you should be able to download it. I'll then investigate with the issue you are mentioning as I cannot replicate it on my PC. Do you have a dlc called dlcdne in your dlc folder? And have you merged again with script merger? (Depending on your installed mods it might not be necessary)
Thank you for making the HBAO+ version available again. It now works as before, with the occasional issue with iper-bloom (solvable by deactivating Bloom).I really have no idea about what could have caused the problem with the 2.6 version, all the files were where they were supposed to be. The merge had been succesful, with nothing wrong at all, I carefully reviewed the list of unmergeable bundled text conflicts in search of some priority-related issue, but there was none with DNE. In fact, the list was identical to the one I had (and now have again) with the 2.53 HBAO+ version. The only thing that I know for sure is that the 2.6 version worked as intended (which means better than the 2.53 HBAO+, because the problem with bloom was gone) in Toussaint, an only there, but the mod was basically deactivated everywhere else; changing the darkness value had no effect, 0 being indistinguishable from 100. I checked the setting in the mod menu and all was fine, global settings activated, and, just to be sure, regional settings with values perfectly matching
Thank you very much for your feedback! Indeed it means that the different environment files are not enabled properly, I need to check this when I go back home!
Found the issue! It was only present with HBAO with every region except Toussaint. My fault, I messed up the name of a custom file, it is corrected, I am uploading the fix right now! Thanks for your feedback!
the new update broke the mod :( I am getting the error below and have found no way to fix it. if anyone gets it running please let me know. The only fix I found was to remove the mod. I don't want to play without it.

Hey there, I was able to install and merge files fine, but the "states, uncinscious.ws" causes conflicts so I remove it and the game boots up fine. But when I try turning on the settings from the menu, the lighting doesn't change at all. Any knowledge?

Could you please give me your mod list?
Then, have you used script merger to merge mod scripts?
I installed compatibility patch for FM, and merge mod created too. (Darkernights is disabled at the moment, and merge mod - deleted)

Is the moon supposed to be this bright? It looks more like the sun.
If not, could this be a conflict with my lighting mod? I use Grim. It didn't look like this with just Grim and no DN.
Thanks in advance

Is this normal?
When the moon is aligned with a light source like torches and the camera, I'm having this issue.
It happens with standard and enhanced editions.
Cheers!
