1.Extract the zip and install the mod into the W3 main folder, make sure the 'bin' and 'mods' folder go into the 'The Witcher 3' folder. 2.Open bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\ folder, add 'modCheatingAlchemyAndCrafting.xml;' to the end of dx11filelist.txt/dx12filelist.txt. Or run the Menu Filelist Updater? tool to auto-upda the filelist.txt files. 3.Merge the scripts with Script Merger.
can anyone please help !! everytime, i try to save file after edited the dx11filelist/dx12filelist.txt, it always shown read only cant save file at all.
Great mod, endorsed. Still can't make it work for next gen, I followed the intrusion to the letter. For the classic version this mod works, but it does not work for next gen. Also the mods that I use for next gen are the same mods that I use for the classic version of Witcher 3. And yes I have added modCheatingAlchemyAndCrafting.xml; to dx11filelist.txt/dx12filelist.txt on next gen and the mod still didn't work. And no I don't have a mod that modifies alchemyManager.ws or craftingManager.ws, believe me I looked.
So I've followed every step in Epidemous' video, in the exact order, and it still does not work for me. The options still appear in the main menu to toggle the features on and off, but in game, I still need the ingredients to make the alchemy items. Is there something I'm missing, maybe a possible problem not shown in the video? I also have no conflicts in the script merger for any mods in my folder, so it's not that either.
Small update: it seems to only be a problem with the alchemy items, the crafting items are all green and craftable, it just seems to be a problem with the alchemy tab for some reason
That's just too weird. Do you really have no other mods which edited alchemyManager.ws? And the toggle of alchemy is ON? Maybe switch to OFF then turn on again?
Thanks for the response. I deleted every single other mod in my folder, verified my files integrity, and its the same problem. Hell I even downloaded a similar mod on Nexus, that removes all crafting requirements, and it does the same thing. It might just be a problem on my end and i'll need to redownload the game, i'll see if that works.
Does´nt work for me. I´ve downoladed the newest version today (12/20/22) and merged the scripts. I can enable/disable the three options in the MODS menu at the Mainmenu, but it has no affect ingame. I´ve tried to delete the merged folder and merge all mods again (including your alchemy mod), but it did´nt work either.
And yes, of course, I added the .xml to my dx11&12.
Thanks for your efforts, but I´ve solved it already. It seems like that at the first time I installed it, the bin folder wasnt installed properly. Since I fixed it, the mod works fine.
Thanks again! I really appreciate your work, you´ve done good!
We know you worked hard to make this mod. But it wouldn't be any good if we can't use it properly. So will you be able to make a simple video of applicating it correctly? EDIT: also having this problem Error [mod0000_mergedfiles]game\gameplay\alchemy\alchemymanager.ws(1): syntax error, unexpected TOKEN_IF, expecting TOKEN_FUNCTION, near 'if'
This error is caused by bad merge, maybe try remerge the alchemymanager.ws file. About the mod doesn't work properly, do you put the bin folder into the right place? Did you add the file name of the .xml file + a ';' in the.txt files? Did you turn the toggles on in the mod menu?
If everything was done properly, there should be a mod settings menu in the 'OPTIONS' menu, toggle the options of my mod's settings, and it will work as what you set.
1. Followed the instruction and added the required XML in the required folder. 2. Added the mod to the mod folder. 3. Checked with the merger. I have done all of the above and still not working. I don't see the "black gap" or the mod menu in the menus.
Did you add 'modCheatingAlchemyAndCrafting.xml;' to the end of dx11filelist.txt/dx12filelist.txt? Can you show me some screenshots of your 'OPTIONs' menu?

Added an option allowing to ignore the craftsman's type and level.

Just follow the steps shown in the video and voila you're done!

Shall I make a video on how to do it and attach it ?
