    Anniversary Update

    Work on this update was started not too long after initial release, but was abandoned about half a year afterwards. You can thank Tinnaib for revitalizing the project and pushing it closer to release!

    Before updating, the old version of Vladimir UI must be removed, along with any patches/unofficial fixes for the old version. You don't want any leftover or outdated files conflicting with the new version. Also remove the old 60 fps patch. Apart from the fact that is now outdated, it even caused issues with the original version (it overwrote Vlad textures in the SWFs with vanilla ones; for example, the overview worldmap looked like a mix of Vlad and vanilla and the positioning of icons was off). An updated version may be made at some point, but no promises for now.

    If you have Live Bestiary, All Quest Objectives on Map, or Accessory Slot Mod- remove them. They are fully integrated into Vladimir UI now. Also, some changes have been made in the SWFs to ensure compatibility with Friendly Hud, Sort Everything, and Action Log; however, these changes will only take affect if you install said mods and merge their scripts (correctly). Make sure Vladimir UI is prioritized in any .redswf file conflicts.

    -removed offcentered vanilla stash background image
    -replaced "Orens" with "Crowns" in merchant menu, adjusted ui elements accordingly
    -restored rarity icon for Magic Items in crafting menu glossary and alchemy menu glossary
    -fixed relic and magic item icons in alchemy menu tooltip (were swapped)
    -increased text box width and adjusted positioning of selected quest name in worldmap, preventing overflow wrapping
    -increased text box width and adjusted positioning of slot names, preventing overflow wrapping (ex: saddlebags)
    -increased text box width and adjusted positioning of titles in book popups, preventing overflow wrapping
    -increased text box width of settings menu entries, preventing overflow wrapping, which could cause some menu entries to go off-screen for certain languages
    -adjusted positioning of spacer in book popup to be truly center-aligned
    -corrected position of applied dye icon and dye selection icon on inventory slots
    -fixed incorrect grid size for some items
    -fixed incorrect (red) herb tag color after fighting high level enemy
    -restored mutation requirements localization, changed text color to white
    -removed notification showing current inventory tab index (most likely a leftover initially meant for debugging)
    -removed random rectangle from panel_common.redswf (was visible in worldmap)
    -removed expansion texture from journal menu
    -removed some visual elements from rest menu (corvo bianco bed) to give it a cleaner look
    -removed upgrade slots from selected item icon in dismantle and add sockets menu
    -fixed enchanted items displaying 3 empty slots in dismantle menu (vanilla issue)
    -dismantle parts slots only show label when you hover over them with mouse (removed because of crashing)
    -restored exact time of day/weather indicator
    -restored distance to quest/pin meters
    -added combat glow for time of day/weather indicator and distance to quest/pin meters
    -secondary quest objectives on the minimap are now smaller and don't have the arrow animation (allowing one to differentiate tracked objective from secondary)
    -removed unnecessary combat glow element when playing as Ciri
    -removed vanilla background art from menus
    -fixed scrollbar not responding to mouse in inventory
    -rearranged inventory tab sections
    -moved armor repair kits to right tab
    -(enchanting menu) lists are now more compact
    -(enchanting menu) item name font size increased, second line font size decreased
    -(enchanting menu) selected items highlighted in white to be consistent with other menus and concept art
    -(enchanting menu) items show rarity indicators
    -(enchanting menu) fixed overlapping key prompts
    -(enchanting menu) selected and moused over enchantments highlighted in white along with icon, applied enchantment hightlighted in yellow along with icon

    -fixed alchemy quanitity indicator when at herbalist / alchemist (only visible for users of a mod which activates this feature like fhud)
    -controller input prompts (xbox 360, xbox one, PS) have been corrected across the board
    -reactivated dropdown buttons and repositioned
    -fixed textfield overflow in mutations menu
    -fixed overlaying "Recent Glossary entries"-text with glossary options (crafting, alchemy etc)
    -fixed wrong rarity for common items (not for items without a visible rarity yet)
    -fixed way too big icons in tutorial menu textfields
    -(gwent) fixed positioning of card textures and card border
    -(gwent) fixed directional navigation issues
    -(gwent) made locked heroes more visible

    -loot popup allows quanitities above x999 (so for example you see that you will loot x1000 gold instead of x100, where the last digit will be invisible)
    -restored item description in the tooltip at blacksmith
    -fixed wrong wine merchant icon (already used in minimap, but wine contract got reused instead in the worldmap)
    -readded missing localization for ATTACK in stats ring
    -changed category name of alchemy & crafting to ingredients / components
    -fixed clipping roach in inventory when in unicorn appearance
    -fixed stretched item icons at the shop
    -fixed wrong item icons at the shop
    -toxicity bar now separately shows locked toxicity like in vanilla
    -healthbar attains a green tint when in deadly toxicity like in vanilla

      Ok, it's easy to miss in the file description on the download page, but you have to modify:
      \The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\dx12filelist.txt
      by adding this to the file:Vlad.xml;

    I've taken the liberty to update the main menu element for the latest version (4.04) of the game.

    If anyone's interested, here's the download link clicky. It looks identical to the old-gen version of Vlad UI and for the most part it should work as intended. It took me around 2 days worth of work to bring it back to its original quality, but I haven't really tested it thoroughly. For instance, the "Create New Save" slot or whatever it's called is somewhere in the middle of the saves list (haven't found a fix for it yet and to be honest I won't bother looking for one either way since I rarely do manual saves through the menu).

    Since the authors permissions do not allow sharing any of the files from this mod, if any of them are reading this, I'd be more than happy to remove this link from my message! I don't mean any harm to the authors of this mod, nor do I want to steal any credits for it.

      I'm trying to figure the new save slot right now and I'm wondering if you have any solid idea whether it's about simply changing some value from 0 to 1 type thing or if it's something more complicated like copying a line of code from somewhere (like vanilla files) or writing something new?

      So far I've found some code about "allowEmptySlot" and "saveType" or "saveSlot" but I'm not sure what's relevant. Haven't found anything when searching the mod folder for "create new save".

      Also, which file do you mean by saves list?
      I barely have any idea what I'm doing lol
      If any of this is of interest to you, help is def appreciated. If not tho, fair enough ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

      Oh I've managed to fix that one as well, the script "scripts\game\gui\main_menu\ingamemenu\igmUtilities.ws" was not properly updated for the next-gen version of the game so this is why the save slots were not displaying properly.

      Just copy the code from this link and you should be able to fix the whole save thing.

      you are not alone. I overwrite everything as the instruction says, and I still get compilation error msg

      You can't use Friendly HUD and Vladimir UI on next gen because Friendly HUD (Vladimir UI patch) didn't get an update for next gen so its normal if you encounter any script errors.

      Yeah friendy HUD is not the problem, it's the patch provided for FHUD. It's not updated for next gen apparently. So you can't use both of them together with the next gen version of the game which is a shame really. Anyone found a solution for this?

    Hi all
    I only want to keep the meditation system/panel from this mod.
    So basically the meditation screen/menu with Geralt kneeling and lighting a fire. 
    Anybody knows what files I must keep to have only that functionality?

    If anyone is having issues with the graphics menu no showing any of the settings, delete the 60 fps patch. That's what is causing it to not appear.

    I went through everypage nobody has answered the damn question about Friendly Meditation i guess the dev is never going to come back to respond to this but does friendly meditation work with vladui...

      They can't be use together because Vladimir UI has own meditation system/panel.

    For anyone getting a script compilation error on next-gen despite doing everything right;

    The fix that worked for me was installing the 4.0 version, then installing the 4.04 version and overwriting when asked.
