Hi, after years in this community, I want to tell you something:
1) Modders do work voluntarily and for free for you, so they probably deserve a little respect.
2) "Please" and "thanks" are magic words. "Endorse" is a clickable button.
3) When you treat modders like your servants and just keep asking for something, you only get the modders to stop publishing their work (as many good modders have already done) and you don't get anything.
With this mod you can have a weapon in your left hand. There are two methods to achieve this:
1. Change any weapon to hold it in your left hand. It's very simple. It's about changing literally one letter in the code.
I was inspired by this mod, in which there are two axes that you can hold in each hand.
2. Turn the torch into the weapon you want. It is a bit more complicated and has its advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages and disadvantages:
- In the case of both methods, the weapon in the left hand will have no effect. It's just a visual change.
- In the case of the first method, you cannot give away a weapon from your left hand other than unequip this weapon, or by taking an object in your left hand. (torch for example) This also has its advantage, because if you take a crossbow in your hand, it will remain in your hand before you fire it.
- Playing with the first method is a bit complicated because you can't use either a silver or steel weapon to fight. I have my game set to "one hit = death" for everyone (including me), so I don't care which weapon I use. If you want to have it like me, I recommend these mods:
Instant Kill Runestone
Bolts that kill - Your crossbow will be truly deadly with this
Enemy Scaling Overhaul and Level Cap Increase
- In the case of the second method, you will logically not be able to use the torch. But this is not a big problem, because this lamp is a better light source anyway.
With this mod you can use Aerondight in your left hand and change the torch to Zoltan's axe. I will not make any mods for other weapons by requests. Instead, I'll teach you how to do it yourself, because it's very simple and perfect for an introduction to modding.
