No hate, but Roach is kind of boring and putting various gear on her is simply entering sandbag mode. It's not stopping the boring! This mod, however, does exactly that. It takes Roach and elevates her to the next level. I can't get enough of riding her now. Um, phrasing. But seriously, incredible mod, thank you so much!

I personally never liked her vanilla look, especially because she is sharing the same texture with another npc horse, which makes her less unique. Now, hopefully can put a smile on people's faces with my mods. <3
I don't understand what happened -- and this s#*! is driving me crazy. I like this mod so much, but for some reason it just stopped working... I loaded all my saves, and there's vanilla Roach everywhere. I tried to increase the priority of mod through the TW3 manager, and this didnt give results. I also tried to clear the mods folder and leave only two of these files and dlc, but it still doesn't work. I'm already distraught, lol. I just left the game for a minute, and now I can't restore it.
worked initially for me...then not working at all, I now get the vanilla ROACH...and just like other people have mentioned, priority doesn't seem to fix it not working. Shame really, the black horse looked EPIC. If anyone has a solution or fix, please share.
Hali, guys. This mod is old, and won't be updated anymore. Not sure if the old gen mods like this will conflict with Next Gen, but if you want Roach to be like this on Next Gen, this is the new and final mod for horses. I am now on Next Gen. Dhu's Roach - Next Gen

Unfortunately the Black Beauty version doesn't seem to be working for me despite having all of the folders in the correct places, on Classic Version 1.32. I've placed "modDhusRoach" and "modBlackBeauty" in the "mods" folder and "dlcDhusRoach" in the "dlc" folder, as well as setting the priority to be at the top using The Witcher 3 Mod Manager.
Do you have any idea of what I might have done wrong to cause this? I've installed other mods that have similar installations which are working for me and I have no other mods that affect Roach's appearance active. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for telling us. I just looked at Nexus. For me it is a bit difficult now to spend time on modding as i'm working during weekdays, but maybe tomorrow will look into it, if i get some free time. Not promising. May need to recreate it, and then i will add it to our The Paw Ranch if i get there. So you can see if later it is working or not.

Horses are easy and fun to make, so it's alright to make them. It's just the large projects the Paws can't work on lately. Hope to bring more mods in the future that could improve the game.
As far as i know it should work on the Next Gen. Below i wrote to another person, if it's not working i can't do anything about it, as i am a forever 1.32 users. Sorry for that.

I've always thought Roach was a bit 'meh' for a Witcher horse, especially as she looks like every other horse. Now, my Roach is a Silver Dollar with Fera's black and white mane and tail, and she looks great! Endorsed (this mod and Fera's).
Thank you! Vanilla Roach is bad, in my opinion, but some people likes her as vanilla. The manes and tails can work from that mod, and another thanks for saying it is working on Next Gen. Hope you are having fun with the mod. Enjoy.

edit: Nevermind. Just copied Fera's mane/tail folders to their respective locations along with Dhu's files. Should've tried first haha. Thanks anyway. It looks amazing!!!!
are we supposed to have 2 mods and 1 dlc active at the same time for this to work? something like dlcDhusRoach, modDhusRoach, and modBlackBeauty ?? My roach looks the same except the mane has braids.. but the color hasnt changed to black like it is supposed to. Maybe have to set priority higher for modBlackBeauty..
