where to unpack the RealisticQualityBooster_Phoenix5_v1.ini ??? not explained in the description..
edit: well, no need to answer my question, because the game doesn't start up anymore after installing ReShade. (v 1.32 GOG) uninstalled it. thanks anyways.
Nice subtle reshade for PLM :) tho when I toggle your preset I'm getting 5-10 fps drop. I also have a question, what should be my post processing setting? sharpening and AO. thanks :)
For the framerate drop - it will depend on your PC righ and mainly your GPU - mine is a 1070 and have no FPS drops
For in-game post-processing settings, I left the default ones from Witcher 3, so both the sharpening and AO that comes by default, so it's easier for the majority of people (they just need to install reshade, no need to go to settings)
But if you wanna remove them, it's all cool, you'll need to then tweak the settings of both sharpening and MXAO through the Reshade menu: - sharpening just slightly increased (do it as high as you can while not seeing any "jagged" edges) - MXAO you'll need to turn it up a bit - either with complex controls or just with the multiplier - remember to check it in high contrast situations (light against the camera and seeing lightshafts) - best place to test how high you can go is in a city
Turning in-game ones off and rely only on the reshad, might indeed recover your 5-10 FPS, so good call :)
Hi, I'm now using your preset after your answer to my earlier comment.
What magic did you to the mxao present? Every single one I had used so far had very weird glare effects whenever god rays / light shafts were cast onto Geralt. With your values, the effect vanishes almost completely. How did you do that?
1st adjusting its parameters on the worst case scenario, which is indeed when the screen goes "all white" if you look at the sun.
Once you get there an ok result, then go play the game around, adjust slightly, and always double check again in the worst case scenario (then you'll probably need to trim it down a notch again).
So it's just adjusting it, then checking and correcting on the worst case scenario.
No magic or sorcery involved, just trial & error with a pinch of patience xD
would somebody be so kind and copy or tell me the values used for the MXAO preset? I'm using the out-of-the-box version, but find it quite difficult to get good settings that are realistic yet not to pronounced.
I'm especially interested in the blend mode used, AO Gamma and Sampling Rate
witcher 3 is the first game i've ever really modded this extensively, and the first game i've used reshade with, so finding your preset was just icing on the cake. thanks again so much for this. i've finally beaten the main game, and now i'm working through blood & wine, and i have to stop every so often and just admire the environment.

After many mods I installed so far, and this reshade tweaker is the only mod that made the game can't be opened
Thanks in Advance!
