Cool mod! But when I started playing with it I noticed a couple of flaws. Re-applied the same oil that was applied to the sword - fixed. Also Beast oil applied randomly to Silver sword or on the Steel sword, if the swords were in sheath - fixed, now Beast oil is applied to the Steel sword, if the swords are in sheath or on the sword, which the player held. Along the way I added a notifications function (can disaable in settings). All notifications are localized only in "en" and "ru". When encountering an enemy if the swords are sheathed - auto oil usage did not work - fixed (replaced the "thePlayer.IsInCombatFist()" with a "thePlayer.IsFistFightMinigameEnabled()"). Added option to key settings (default "F2") Whoever wants to try my fix version needs 1) remove "modQuickQpplyOi" from the "mods" folder 2) install "Community Patch - Base". Strange that Jaeh did not mention that 3) install my version of the mod only with Witcher 3 Mod Manager
Really nice, but one function is not worked. Notification on empty oil.. When have 0 oil and use manual hotkeys to use oil, It should say that I have no oil in my inventory, but it says that oil is already applied to the sword (Apply on a steel sword: and name oil)... but in fact there is no oil on the sword and 0 oil in invertory.. Any merged not repair this.. please mister fix this popup, you mod is best! Rest function work well..
Getting a lot of errors with this, which I guess might be due to not getting the unification patch. The reason for not getting it was it saying its obsolete. So is it safe to install the patch?
Confirmed to work with 1.32 standard edition (with all dlc) A REAL IMPORTAINT step here to get the keybindings to work is setting the input.settings file to read-only. If you want to change keybinds later you need to undo this, change binds, then paste the text back in and set to read-only.
To get the in-game "Mods" menu you need this community patch: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3650?tab=description (Jaeh, please add this to the description)
The mod "Jump in shallow water" conflicts with this one, and is taking priority. This can easily be fixed with "Script merger": https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/484?tab=description Don't be discouraged by the looks of the tool. It's literally running an exe, selecting game directory and pressing a single button. And voillĂ , it works. :)
Thanks a lot for this mod, It's so importaint! as I don't feel like playing "Menus; the game"
Dude you're like magic! This is only script mod I've wanted to use but I have no idea how to use it although I did install base community patch and something else too.. Hope modder will update description one day.
I made a fix that corrects the automatic oil change for the same at the beginning of the combat. I am not an coder but it seems to work. A patch changes only one file and does not intersect with other mods, so that it can be safely used with other mods without a merge and written on top of the old file

Use Version 2.1 for manual configuration

theSound.SoundEvent("gui_preparation_potion");
else

popupNotifString.PushBack(GetLocStringByKey('string_autoapply_oil') + GetLocStringByKey(str_slotname) + ": " + GetLocStringByKey(inv.GetItemLocalizedNameByUniqueID(oilId)));
}
Please test this script. Replace the file in the path "mods\modQuickApplyOil\content\scripts\local\"
the fact that it will use BESTIARY as basis and also AUTO EQUIP proper Bombs for each monsters is very clever
So is it safe to install the patch?
