Bloom / light shafts bug occuring for some people making the sun far too bright. So far only able to reproduce the bug with the versions using custom weather tables.
People experiencing this bug should use one of the versions with the vanilla weather table or by turning either bloom or light shafts off.
Could you make a version 3 base game but without the wind reduction so the trees sway like in vanilla? And a toussaint version with more clouds but still no wind reduction? Other than that this mod works great and I love the little changes it brings.
The original mod cut the rain out, I then took it one step further and reduced the wind. At some point someone asked me for more rain, and now someone wants more wind too!
I don't have the vanilla Toussaint files anymore and can't remember what the default values were. There is honestly isn't a big difference between the vanilla and custom Toussaint weather tables so I reccomend you just leave as standard.
Sorry mate I haven't played in ages and totally forgot about these mods.
I have a feeling they may clash both being weather mods but I can't figure out how to unpack and check his files to see if they are both trying to modify the same table.
If you're still playing you could try asking SilentM00n as I am new to modding and this mod is based off his, which was "No More Rain"
You could also ask Hyadum27 on the off chance he's familiar with Silentmoons original mod and can tell you if it's compatible.
Apologies for talking an eternety to answer but no one had posted any questions on here for two years lol
Any chance to get this mod with vanilla winds? I mean, I get that it seems annoying how it looks like the world is trapped in a constant hurricane, but I do like it that way. Thanks in advance.
I recommend turning Light Shafts Off in Postprocessing if you find the sunlight too bright with this mod installed. Here's a comparison to show you what I'm talking about. Good thing I checked my settings before uninstalling, because the sunlight was my only complaint with this mod. Everything else is great. :)
I made one using the vanilla weather table with rain and wind reduced. So far I have found that the bloom issue only occured with the versions using custom weather tables. Let me know if this solves the problem for you.
Despite the mods reducing the chance of weather it is still randomly generated and rain may occur for some more than others. You could just be getting a series of unlikely dice rolls essentially. I just reduced the probability in the tables and used the Friendly Meditation mod to test how often it rained.
Try the new version I added which uses the vanilla weather table with rain and wind reduced. I haven't added extra types of rain so the probability should be less again. Let me know how it goes.
What are your criteria for frequent rains? I also tested with Friendly Meditation, but it rains unconditionally at least once a day. In my tens of days of meditation, I have never seen 24 hours pass without rain. Normally, it rains a few times a month, unless you're in the tropics or in summer. not a day Does this mod really reduce the chance of rain? How do you reduce the odds, and I'm curious about the exact number of the corrected odds.
It all revolves around an excel table. You assign a value from .01 to 1 to give each weather type a chance of occuring. Then there are a number of special effects (ie cloud type) that have a chance of being applied to each type of weather. I used the meditation to test the freqency just as you did but in the end each person will get different results as the weather is still randomly generated. Using the mod myself I got far less rain than vanilla but it doesn't appear to be the case with everyone as you can see from some of the comments below.

That's the simplified version. If you want to learn to mod look up a tutorial for xtc and go from there.
Not sure how the process works with the new updates. I haven't worked on it for some time as you can see.
Apologies for the late reply, I know you are probably not playing anymore.

I'll upload it when I have some time.
I'll be waiting!

Enjoy!

Can you make the mod vanilla weather, vanilla clouds, no rain, but on Skellig the probability of snow is higher?
"Reduced Rain - Base Game" is the one you're after.
If you are still playing, I hope you enjoy!
