I would once again like to thank each and every one of you, who has endorsed or simply downloaded Realistic Rain! Special thanks to Mishikedman for his incredible work on PLM and for his support for this mod! I wish all the best to you all!
Hi, I am using PLM 7 Ultimate and, while I have no flickering, rain often just disappears. Sometimes after I've traveled a bit, sometimes just after I move the camera. I have the rainfix mod, which fixes it, but it doesn't prevent it from happening again and I end up having to press the hotkey up to 4 or 5 times per minute. It ruins the experience. Does this mod solve this?
Hello, Balamb56, and thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, Realistic Rain only fixes the flickering issue. As far as I know, the only solution to the disappearing rain is the rainfix mod, which you are already using. Then again I have not been active in the modding community for a while, so maybe someone has figured out how to fix it. You could always check on the PLM Discord. Have a great day and take care!
I think the disappearing rain bug is not caused by mods and is also present in the Vanilla game. The flickering rain is definitely caused by mods editing the rain texture, although I am not sure why some people have it and others don't.
Looks like this fixes other lighting mods too. I was having the same issue with the Immersive Lighting mod, and this mod completely fixed it! No more flickering. Thanks for this :)
Hello, Razar67! Thank you very much for trying out my mod and posting your feedback! I am really glad to hear it has resolved your issue. I wish you all the best!
Instant difference! You're awesome dude. Thanks for the upload! I was going crazy trying to figure what's causing this bug when it was not present in vanilla.
Thank you for making PLM even better with your awesome mod. Would it be possible to increase the speed and number of the raindrops near Geralt a little bit for the Heavy Rain version? Is it also possible to make the distant rain droplets look smaller? Just some suggestions if you consider updating in the future. Thanks again and happy new year to all!
Hello, GodsMistake, and thank you for the positive feedback! I really do appreciate it! Regarding your questions: it's definitely possible to make the distant rain droplets look smaller. As for the speed and number of the raindrops near Geralt, I am not exactly sure, but I will look into it when I return to modding. I wish you a Happy New Year and a great rest of the week!
Hello, jjOne92, and thank you for trying out my mod! I haven't been active in the mod community for a while now, so it is highly possible, that Mishi has changed the PLM rain texture, which caused the flickering. If you do not experience any flickering in the newest version of PLM, then my mod is only a rain retexture and not a flickering fix. Since I have not done any testing with newer PLM versions, I can't say how Realistic Rain looks with the latest PLM release. If you don't like how the recommended version looks, feel free to try PLM Heavy Rain under the optional files. Should my mod not be to your taste, you can safely remove it. Thank you for your feedback and have a great day!
Although I wasn't using Phoenix, I did see this really annoying rain flickering with the lighting mod I was using. Didn't think it'd fix the problem as I wasn't using Phoenic but was very pleasantly surprised when it worked, and at no FPS cost!
Hello, TheNinthOne, and thank you very much for the positive feedback! I was not aware, that other lighting mods suffered from the same rain flickering issue, but I am glad to hear, that my mod has resolved it! I wish you all the best and have a great day!
Hello, Dravic1! Thank you for your interest in my mod!
Unfortunately, I have taken a step back from modding due to real-life commitments. I currently do not have the time to edit or test my mod. If I have such plans in the future, I will announce them in the mod description.
