    Update 2.24.24
    I'm back, but progress will be slow, have not touched modding for nearly a year. Will need to redownload Witcher 3 and re-learn how to make this mod, hopefully with help from the wonderful szogo87 who updated this mod. I'll be looking to freshen up the existing monster entries and add all the new monsters added to the Witcher world via the mobile game (which may sound silly, but the game has incredible art design and awesome monsters).

    I am still planning on updating this mod, but my schedule has become very limited over the course of this year. I expect I will still need a few months to finally update this mod. All planned changes will be put into this new version. I will update again at the end of next month.

    Version 4.0! Books!
    After two long months, the book update is finally here! Depending on the version you download, new entries added by this mod will now unlock via books; some vanilla books but also newly added and restored books! Special thanks to MerseyRockoff for helping me figure out how it works, and special thanks to Starbucks for fueling my late nights fixing the nasty save-breaking bug. (it was a guid that was colliding).

    I am told this mod does not work with the next-gen version of the game, though I am unable to verify that. Unfortunately, I am still without an adequate device and will be without one for the forseeable future. If this changes, I will return to update this mod. Thank you.

    Update 6.11.22
    My laptop which is my only PC, is currently borked due to heat ineffeciency. I'm in the process of buying a new laptop. Once I'm able to do so, progress on this mod and other projects will resume.

    Current To Do
    - New Game Plus compatibility.
    - E3 UI and Vladimir UI compatibility. (certain entries need re-editing in Photoshop)
    - Update TW1 images.
    - Take screens of all updated images and include screens of new books added to merchant.
    - Moving certain books out of the shop in Novigrad and implementing them as quest / loot rewards.
    - Expanding  / rewriting descriptions for certain entries.
    - New entry: Dracotortoise.

    Help make the mod better!
    - I'm trying to find good ways to integrate the new books as quest rewards and / or loot in certain locations. If you have any ideas on that, please let me know in the comments!
    - There are monsters in the Witcher universe that I would like to add to this mod, if I am able to find artwork to represent them. I would love to include Amphisbaena, Eyehead, Hirikka, Hydra, Ilyocoris, Kelpie, and Rusalka. Let me know if you have any ideas for suitable art and I will try to contact the artists for their permission.

    Is this for 4.04 or classic ? Im confused because in the comments there is a link that has the same name of this same mod for 4.04. So im asking am i supposed to download that or this mod from here ?

    This mod still does not work on NG 4.04 for me. I used "Extended Bestiary New Only Next Gen 4.04" from sHoGo87. Do I have to start a new game to make it work? I tried it on save game for now.

    I wanted to thank you for this great mod. I do really appreciate your work LetterE. I'm really sorry about your PC. Hope that you will get a new one very soon. Playing and knowing everything about all the monsters in the game is a must for every Witcher on the path, even those that aren't in the game but it's always nice to read about them and know that they exist in the Lore world of The Witcher.

    It was a big shame that it wasn't working on the Next Gen Edition, so I've decided to update this beautiful mod by myself. Unfortunately I have updated only the "New Only Version" cause the Book Versions were unstable with Vladimir UI and a few other mods. I had to many errors with them and the game was a mess, so I gave up on fixing those.

    I have tested the updated "New Only Version" on Next Gen 4.04 on a heavily moded Witcher 3 with Vladimir UI, Progress On The Path, Random Encounters Reworked, BiA, Witcher Lore Collection and many many more great mods and it seems to work properly without any problems, nor crashes or errors on startup.

    The r4game.ws is updated to current version of the game, also I had to fix a couple files from the bundles. 
    The most important it works on Next Gen. It should also work with the Vanilla game without any UI overhaul mods but I didn't test it by myself.

    As a bonus, now it also adds the 31 new entries on NG+.

    Maybe someone would like it too so I'm uploading it right here if it's not a problem for the author. If it would be than please delete it. Of course all the credits go to LetterE for his hard work and this great add on.

    When you download this file you don't need to download anything else. I'm recommending a manual intallation, so unpack the rar archive and place the mod folder into your Witcher 3 mods folder and DLC folder into your games DLC's folder. Use Script Merger when needed and if needed give higher priority above any other mods.

    I had included a couple screenshots in a separate archive, so you have proof that it's working and also the Polish translation made by Varhe is already inside the DLC folder.

    Good news!!! I've managed to update also the Lore and Book Versions of Extended Bestiary and wanted to share it with the community here on NexusMods. Updated with vanilla scripts from game version 4.04. Everything is working as intended. Was testing it with Vlad UI and on Vanilla game, so it should work also with any other UI Overhaul mods unless they don't touch the Bestiary files and entrances, which can cause problems and unnecessary remerging of those files/scripts.

    Of course all the credits go to the one and only LetterE.

      4.04 w3ee redux after merge nothing changes in the bestiary, all creatures are initially open regardless of the mod version

      @pantxer That's because W3EE Redux also edits the bestiary entries and some of the same scripts. A patch or manual editing of those scripts would be needed. I'm not using W3EE Redux by myself so can't do a patch for it. Sorry mate. Maybe try to ask the original author LetterE as he's back or the W3EE author Kolaris. Maybe someone from them will create a patch.

    I don't know where else to ask: how can I mod bestiary textures? I've tried uncooking mods that do this or vanilla game with w3oven, modkit, wolvenkit, redkit, but I don't get to the actual texture files to change them. Is there a tutorial or a comprehensive explanation somewhere?

      Should be as Extended Bestiary doesn't touch the Flash files like SE does, just merge the scripts correctly with Script Merger.

    Hi, I tried to combine this mod with BiA and Witcher Lore Collection . As a result, I received books with missing titles and records. If thoughts how can this be fixed?

      I am still working on updating this mod, currently looking like this Summer for the next-gen update. Hopefully will be able to address compatibility issues at that time.

      Hi. This dlc is BiA and WLC compatible and merge friendly, just merge your scripts correctly and set BiA with higher priority in your mod load order than Witcher Lore Collection. Don't mess with the files in the bundles, especially in the Brothers in Arms ones cause there are lots and lots of files, textures etc. and is very easy to break something if you don't know what you're doing. Also imprtant, download one of those updated versions of Extended Bestiary for NG 4.04 from my post underneath till LetterE publishes his updated NG version.
      Anyway Extended Bestiary doesn't need any prio as the bundled mod part is a DLC.

      I'm currently at the mod hard limit as I hited nearly 300 folders in the mod folder and about 70 in the dlc one and my game runs smooth as butter and I'm using WLC with the optional W1 & W2 add on, BiA, Extended Bestiary and many many more mods like VladUI, Magic Spells etc. and have no problems.

    Hi.
    I've got a little problem.
    In Lore version of mod I missing: Chironices; Nekurats and Plumards.  
    In New Only Version of mod I have all bestiary and all new entires from six new books (I use my old 100% savegame) 
    On NG+ (with New Only Version of mod), at the beginning of game,  I have all 31 bestiary open but new entires from six new books will be lock.
    Is possible make a New Only Version of mod with added all new entires from six new books after read them?? THX.
    (Sorry for my terrible english.)   
    PS. Great Job!!! 
    PPS. I use  GoG GOTY 1.32 version of game. In Reader Version of mod I missing Chironices; Nekurats and Plumards too.
