Great mod, especially now it's customizable. Works fine on 1.32
That customization is superb. I'd need a full game test to fully work out where I need it set (installed on NG+ just before Eredin). I decided on common being dirt cheap at 0.3 crowns per % and worked my way up to relic and witcher gear being around 2 crowns per %. I thought witcher gear and relic gear should be a bit more tricky to repair than than the others but that's just my opinion.
It suits me fine at that right now, but I may tinker up or down with my settings before I'm perfectly happy... this mod gives that flexibility. Cool.
You can now configure that with a mod menu in 1.1. I don't have it for default as I don't want to feel like progressing towards better gear comes with significant drawbacks, obtaining it should be a clear upgrade in all aspects, a reward. Higher quality gear should already be expensive & hard enough to acquire in the first place. Not to mention that repair kits repair the same % regardless of an item's quality or level.
Regardless, I don't think a common axe should have the same cost factor as a relic or a piece of witcher gear, so thank you for making it customizable.
Hopefully later when all the mods that cover the itemization aspect of the game are out.
Although truth be told my mods are already made modular for that purpose( as small as possible and made to fit together like lego pieces - except for the xml loot mods as script merger is slightly misconfigured for xml) so that you can just pick and choose whichever you like and ignore the rest since I believe that as the number of changes in an overhaul goes up the amount of people who like every single change approaches 1.
Well it only reduced repair cost by one crown from the original vanilla value and it only affected the silver sword - steel sword repair cost remained the same as before installing the mod so it seems to only be reducing repair costs for some items and not others.
I'm not sure what part of 1 crown per durability point isn't clear. Your steel sword is at 85% durability, that means it needs to have the missing 15% repaired, with this mod that costs 15 crowns. Your silver sword is at 48%, that means it needs to have the missing 52% repaired, with this mod that costs 52 crowns.
You may not see much of a difference with your starter lv1 swords which would be the cheapest items to repair in the vanilla game, but as you level up and get higher level weapons those costs could get up to the thousands and make paying for repairs unaffordable and pointless when you can buy repair kits(fixed cost).
I did see the 1 crown per durability point thing but I didn't even bother to calculate that at the time honestly. I was just expecting some huge reductions in repair costs or something but my fault for being lazy not actually calculating the repair costs with the mod. And I was expecting to see a big difference in repair costs compared to vanilla but again you did say exactly how much the reduction would be.
That's very useful information about these starter weapons being the cheapest items to repair in the game, and stronger ones being much more expensive. So about the repair kits, are you saying this mod would just be pointless using with repair kits being available that would have fixed costs?
EDIT: Ah nevermind, looks like I'm stuck repairing for the most part as the repair kits probably won't be so plentiful. Might just go with making weapons indestructible, don't know if I want to be dealing with repair headaches all the time.
"So about the repair kits, are you saying this mod would just be pointless using with repair kits being available that would have fixed costs?" Do you think I'm saying that the mod I took the time to share here is pointless?

Endorsed.

Didn't want to double post.
What's wrong?

This would make it so I never actually have to deal with those thousand crown repair costs that you mentioned.
Thanks.
