Immersive Economy Settings for Friendly Economy Mod
I downloaded this mod and discussed the best settings with ChatGPT to create a more immersive and realistic economy in The Witcher 3. These adjustments aim to balance the game’s economy so that:
Witcher contracts will be the main source of income.
Merchants will no longer overpay for junk.
Rare items and Witcher gear will be more valuable.
Crafting, repairs, and trading won’t be extremely cheap, but still accessible.
With these settings, gold management becomes more meaningful, and careful planning is required to maintain equipment, craft potions, and invest in upgrades. At the same time, the game remains fair and enjoyable, ensuring that Geralt isn’t constantly broke. Below is the full breakdown of the adjusted values:
🔹 Item Categories(Affects prices of different item types)
Steel Swords → 1.5 (Common weapons hold value but aren’t excessively expensive.)
Silver Swords → 2.5 (Rarer than steel swords, so they should be much more expensive.)
Crossbows → 1.0 (Not a primary Witcher weapon, so price remains the same.)
Bolts → 3.0 (Bolts are scarce, so their price should reflect that.)
Armor → 2.0 (Good armor should be an investment.)
Pants, Boots, Gloves → 1.5 (Armor pieces should have some value.)
Trophies → 0.8 (Trophies should be valuable, but not excessively so.)
🔹 Special Items(Potions, oils, crafting materials, etc.)
Elixirs, Bombs, Oils → 1.5 (Alchemy should be valuable but not too cheap.)
Repair Kits → 2.0 (Repairing should be expensive enough to encourage careful gear maintenance.)
Crafting Materials → 1.5 (Crafting shouldn’t be an easy gold mine, making scavenging and careful spending necessary.)
🔹 Item Quality Scaling(Prices based on item rarity)
Common Items → 0.5 (Basic junk should be cheap, discouraging mass-selling.)
Rare Items → 1.2 (They should be worth more but not absurdly valuable.)
Magic Items → 2.0 (Should be a worthwhile find.)
Relics → 2.5 (Relic gear should feel unique and expensive.)
Witcher Gear → 3.0 (Legendary Witcher gear should be exceptionally valuable.)
🔹 Merchant Trading Adjustments(Affects how much you earn from selling and buying items.)
Sell Price Multiplier → 0.2 (Merchants won’t give much for your junk, so selling isn’t a primary income source.)
Buy Price Multiplier → 0.8 (Purchasing won’t be dirt cheap but remains manageable.)
🔹 Durability-Based Pricing(Prices adjust based on gear condition.)
Below 50% Durability → 0.0 (Broken items are nearly worthless.)
Thanks, dude! Unfortunately, I cannot check how good it is, so if it is not difficult for you, could you tell me if you are satisfied with the prices, or would you like to change something to it, to make it better? Thanks!
Can anyone change this mod so that the money requirements for quests remain vanilla? For example, so that the first trip to Skellige costs 1000 gold, and the complete pumping of runes in stone hearts costs 30,000 gold, etc.?
This mod has so many balance issues that are being ignored its insane. I don't want to download a mod just to configure it over and over again myself because the mod creator is too lazy to do it properly. Iam at the end game cleared every single (?) in velen, skellige and novigrad and can barely afford 3 pieces of mastercrafted armor because reagents and crafting costs aren't tweaked properly.
I mean what did u expect, did u even read the mod description. U cant change something the game revolves around and not patch prices to fulfill 100% clear of the game. Just go normal, this wont make it more immersive unless u get the thirst and hunger mods
Primal needs its called. And yes I'm at White Orchard atm, tweaked prices so i can sell herbs, sell/buy is 0.80/1 and alchemy(for herbs) is at 1.05(at 1 is unsellable). But unsure how ballanced it will be to set it properly. Can only be seen deep into the vellen part i suppose. Anyone have good settings? Also using lorified loot to reduce junk looting.
If you have Ghost MOD installed and you are not a scrit merge god better not install this mod in 90% you will break your build and it will be very hard to rebuild it. At least don't do it in the middle of your build. Since the mod is named identically to Ghost Mod it causes significant problems.
Since this mod hasn't been updated since 2017, I am guessing it won't be updated for next gen unless it doesn't need to be updated for that? Anyone tried?
would've been nice to have deleveled prices included in this mod. same gears are so expensive in late game cant by anything. and using the console is not fun

(Significantly reduced value.)
(Mostly retains value.)
(Fully functional items retain their full value.)
(Witcher jobs should be the main source of income.)
(Crafting is useful but shouldn’t be too cheap.)
(Upgrading shops and your home should be accessible but not free.)
(Encourages you to maintain your gear properly.)
(Extracting upgrades should be slightly costly.)
(Breaking items down should be neither too expensive nor too cheap.)
For example, so that the first trip to Skellige costs 1000 gold, and the complete pumping of runes in stone hearts costs 30,000 gold, etc.?
Dont recommend it at all whatsoever.
