I would try this much better mod:Finger Lickin' Geraldo before trying this one.

Spent about a millenia messing with the beard trying to get it to match the hair a lot better, it's not perfect but I think it's an improvement.
The beard will never match the hair 100%, it will either be too bright in light, or too dark in shadows. Unless you use Cutscene Lighting. Which will improve it some but it still won't be 100%.
Choose which textures you want based on that, and the images, or test them in game.

I highly recommend using this mod with thisCutscene Lighting
It enables cutscene lighting to be used all the time, using this mod with it is really nice.

Root and Tip colour edits can used together, or by themselves.
Don't use two root or tip edits at the same time.

Here's two tested combinations that I think look really good.

For a vanilla matching beard:
Beard Root Colour Edit 1 w Beard Tip Color Edit 5 w Vanilla Hair/Desaturated Hair 1.1

For lighter matching beard/hair:
Beard Root Colour Edit 1.1 w Beard Tip Colour Edit 4 w Brighter Hair/Desaturated Hair 1.1c

Scale up like that, if you want brighter hair and beard. Of course, what I think looks good might not be what you think looks good, so try out other combinations.

Any texture mod that edits the same textures will have to be merged.
