I might be epic dumbass, but is it possible to edit some existing mods using your tool?
Eg. Some texture mods that alter yenn face, if yes, please let me know how. The mod i want to edit is just pasted in mods folder so i guess it it the easiest sort. I want to open the files of that mod(picture of face/texture) in photoshop and edit it, save it under new name and place in my mods folder and play it?
Can you guide me through steps, i dont know what im doing wrong.
Should i uncook this mod, since thats what im doing
Hi! I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I do everything exactly like you did in the video tutorial and the files seem to be exporting (at least there are no errors or anything), but once the export is completed there's nothing in the folder I created for export. Tried it a few times with Yen eye texture, it says "edit exported" but the folder is just empty. :c
Those with this problem, check it out: https://forums.cdprojektred.com/forum/en/the-witcher-series/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt/mod-discussions/10402302-wcc_lite-crashing
Thanks for this tool xtcislove, it has been a considerable help. I'm currently trying to build my first texture mod. After I finish editing some mesh files through Sarcen's Mod Editor, both from the base game and the dlc, I attempted to cook the mod back. Your tool showed me a warning about relative path. I thought that everything looked okay so I proceeded, but it threw some errors, failed to cook some files and created a mod folder without metadata.store.
Below is the error log. Your help is kindly appreciated.

Basically you can: Uncook compressed game files to jpg, png, bmp or tga and edit it with photoshop then you can compress it to a format the game can read and u end with an edited texture.
I second that. Please a simple manual about installation and steps on how to do for a very inexperience player like me who just started crash course about modding the witcher 3 an hour ago... and still don't get it. Thank you
i made a video http://forums.cdprojektred.com/forum/en/the-witcher-series/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt/mod-discussions/56176-quick-modding-mini-tutorial this tutorial explains everything you need to do to mod Witcher3 files and every function that is mentioned in this guide can be done with my tool.
i am not a modder i cant even explain which texture group you need for which file but i know that this tool can do nearly everything you need for modding but i cant really explain how to mod.
My first and last modding attempt you can see in the video on the description page.
Hey, uh, I'm not exactly a pro at modding or anything and this might be just my stupidity, but when I try to cook some mods the files count goes over the stated limit and starts going very fast infinitely. I'm not exactly sure what might cause this, but some example mods that had this were KNG More Blood, Next Gen Candles; Haystack; Stone and Misc and Bring Back Life Into The Bathhouse. Would really appreciate it if you told me if it's an error on my part and how can I get around it. Thank you in advance!
P.S. I have the latest modkit (from Gascon's link) and the faster wcc_lite, just in case you were gonna ask, and the installation path doesn't contain spaces.
Edit: Tried building my previous collection of textures, which is over 3000 files and noticed that this time instead of listing the files it just keeps saying that it can't open Tools\QuickModdingTool\tools\MenuLarge.txt:E:\(My name)\Desktop\Merging
Windows 7, 8 or 10? Try to put everything on the same hard drive.
Please delete the tool and re download it.
Try to exclude the Folder from your anti virus ( i know thats probably a wierd answer, but im using very old tools here and some antivirus may detect them as a thread. However these are widley known old dos tools, you can find them everywhere on the net.
I dont really get here what you are trying? Do you try to EDIT textures and build your own mod? Or you just like to merge multiple mods into one? If yes this is the way to go: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2014/? http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2002/?
Windows 10 Moved both to same drive and it appears(-ed) to be working. I merge multiple mods (not only textures, but also meshes, some xmls and w2p) into one for my own personal client. Do so to avoid the mod limit and other problems from having loads of separate files.
...aaand I think that was actually the source of my problem. I didn't actually read the title of your mod fully and thought that it was an all-around tool, not just for textures. Shame on me, I guess. I'm currently trying out the QMT 6.4, will reply in case I run into any errors with it.
Thank you xtcislove! This mod was just my saving grace in changing Gwent Card Textures on my own. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to get it to work in game. Excellent modding tool.

If it's not the witcher 3 dir, then what is it?
Is it the witcher's content folder?

Thanks for replying, though. You helped a lot.
keep in mind every file you choosecan exist only 1 time.
Use Script merger for xml mods.
