Doubt this is still being watched but just wondered what was changed to get this effect as "no player light" is too harsh but I find this is still way too bright and wanted to find an inbetween or at least edit it to my liking...

Hello, I would appreciate it if you answered my question. The problem is that there are sudden changes in lighting in certain areas of the map that do not make sense. I do not know if it is a vanilla problem or some mod, and if so, I would greatly appreciate it if you can help me solve the problem thanks.

i experianced that as well, most of the time when i move to a basement of sorts, like in novigrad cursed hosue with godling. from what i was able to gather this does happen with vanilla lighting as well, but the sudden changes in vanilla lighting are very small, barely noticable, when you have a mod that changes lighting or eliminates certain parts of it like this one, some of these changes can get exaggerated. that and either this mod or another mod that eliminates character lighting had a problem where sometimes, mostly during clear day i think, on certain points like that makeshift bridge between novigrad and velen there are subtle changes in tonemap as well on the birdge.... but i dont remember is it this mod or the other one. at the end of the day i gave up on both of them, they both did what they were suppose to but these sudden changes in lighting were just too annoying + every now and then in some scenes some of these mods can act strangly i remember that scene between geralt, dijkstra and the troll to be all weird with these mods, but i cant remember which ones i had.

This is a bit late but what other mods do you refer to when say you just gave up and uninstalled them. I have this issue and will be willing to uninstall the same mods to fix it

edit : just realized you said you don't remember which mods they were but if you have any ideas I'd be happy to hear

This is a bit late but there's a separate mod that does this for cutscenes called cutscene lighting fix

Atmospheric Nights compatibility would be great!
Sorry I'm blind, it works and it's really good. Now only artificial greenish cave lighting would be great to tone down or elimiate even.

It'd be an adaptive fake light with color, intensity and directions adaptions based on contexts, environments and situations. Fake is good but not enough and horrible in some circumstances.
(thank you for this mod and for Realistic Weather)

A problem occurs in the garden of the Vizima Palace.

Beyond just removing the fake lighting, it turns the character into charcoal color. All of the characters there, including Geralt, are colored charcoal.

Guys !! there is a reason why this " fake " light is added beacause it is closed to realife , it is called the reflected light from the environment such as the moon light cast to the road and the reflect to Geralt's back , so i think keeping this so called "fake" light will keep the immersion of the game

Vanilla fake light is okay in some situations, to simulate the ambient lighting reflection, but It is simply too strong in shadows, night time, or cloudy and rainy days.

i thought this mod dissables/reduces the player light. I know that the description says it balances the player fake light but idk if this mod is doing nothing at all or just so minimal that it makes no diffirence to vanilla game.

I had no conflicts, there was nothing to merge, mod has priority, should work but i see no effekt. I still have the same bright fake light that ruins the mood in some places that should be spooky areas.

    Thanks for this fix wzol.
Vanilla lighting + Realistic Weather + This fix = Best lighting :D

Some suggestion, can you change the color character lighting inside cave?
When inside cave the lighting color is green.
    Here some shoot inside cave

Thanks for the comment. I'm aware of the issue, I even tried to fix it but to no avail. I would actually recommend an alternative like No Artificial Player Light - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2414
I haven't tested it too much but give it a shot.

If this could be merged with Vanila Lighting Enhanced it would be perfect!
