I seem to be the only one with the problem of the mod menu not showing up

Yes, i did put the bin folder in the root game directory

    Anyone have any thoughts?

in your bin C:\...The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc folder, you'll see files called dx11filelist.txt and dx12filelist.txt. you need to add
      ConvenientLooting.xml;
?to the list, for which ever directx you're using to. you'll have to do this with every mod menu (put the file name in the list)

The mod menu works more or less, I thought it wasn't showing, but the name is invisible, I was desperately installing and uninstalling and looking at all the posts until it occurred to me to slide the mouse pointer in that area.

But still this is wrong, doesnt look like the mod menu image.

first feedback: the mod works partially for me, "global scan range" and "container limit" works, but "herbs range" and "remains" don't work, no matter how much I change them, the global scan range overwrites the others, and if I set the "global range" to zero the other filters still don't work.

      "Plants Range"
      "Remains Range"
      "Clutter Range"
Specify a scan range for specific container types. Effective only if 'Segregate Containers' is enabled.

You have to turn "Segregate Containers" on for them to work.

You're not dumb. Open the file and there you will se bin folder, which you copy in the game directory and it will ask you if you want to copy and replace the existing files, to which you say yes. And there will be another file that has named modConvinientLooting, you paste this file into the mods folder in your game directory folder.

To anyone using Vortex or any other mod manager. The zip has an incorrect folder structure which is why you are having problems with the menu and the mod itself. Create a new zip with the following structure inside (Mods is missing):
    /bin
    /Mods/modConvenientLooting

Hello, can anyone please confirm whether this mod now needs an update to be compatible with the latest version of Primer? (1.06)
    Thank you.

The sound of looting when pressing "Take All" is very loud. I presume it is because every container make its own looting sound when "Take All" pressed. Is there a way to fix this?

There is a bug with this mod where certain quest items can be acquired multiple times.

For example, during Jenny o' the Woods contract, while inspecting the clues, you pick up the assassin's knife and the letter found in a grave. After saving and reloading, the clue spots become lootable containers (even showing on the mini-map), and you can pick up those items again. Items will respawn every time you reload a save.

Not sure if this may cause some issues or potentially break things, but it's definitely something to keep in mind.

bin is pasted, and both dx file lists have the ConvenientLooting.xml; line on the bottom. yet the mod menu options display as the ##option and then the sliders (sliders and options can be changed and look like the image provided here on nexus). And the mod itself simply doesnt work. is the mod just outdated or am i doing something wrong?

HEAR YE! HEAR YE! to everyone doing the same mistake as me. dont put the folder with the long text name behind it in the mods folder, but put the "modConvenientLooting" folder (which is at the same depth as the "bin" folder, that you have to paste in the root directory) in the "mods" folder
