Advanced Video Settings AVS (formerly "VideoToggle")
for
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt + HOS and BAW,
patch 1.22
now available.
NEWS: v1.22b: AVS in one archive. Fixed: English menu (w3string), hud: combat notfications, scripting issues corrected, description revised.
June.28th: Reuploaded v.1.22b. I forget to update the version number for the menu. This is only cosmetic. But for the sake of completeness... To be sure use every time - Witcher Script Merger (link in the description) if you have (new) mods installed - All mods should match the Witcher 3 patch version (but you can check it out) - Read the description (revised) carefully
Great mod with great customizability, thanks for that
One very minor issue I had is that it's not exactly intuitive that the "On" option deactivates a certain video while "Off" has it active. It gets obvious once you read the option title, but at first glance it's kinda confusing. Doesn't really need a change but I thought I'd mention it.
Cheers! And yes, it may be confusing. But It depends on the perspective. Let us assume the following: "objective target" = deactivation (of videos) "status" = on (yes), Status = off (no) Q = What''s the status of "deactivation"? A = (status of deactivation is) On, Off (note: not status of video - that's what you mean) I know this might be the perspective of the scripter. The other way would be scripted differently. But I think about it.
Yeah, I know. Both options make sense in my eyes. I just wanted to mention that it confused me for a second but then immediately made sense. No need to change it though if you ask me.
Thanks for the update! But now I'm getting confused. I have v1.22 and I would like to use 1.22a, so I can use CLF mod independently for other mods that need it. Is that possible?
Edit: Don't know why you want to use CLF independently. If you use version 1.22 you will notice no difference. CLF is incorporated in v1.22 and will be updated if neccessary. The result is the same. V1.22b (currently) is primary for non CLF users. Perhaps you can use v1.22b and standalone CLF (not tested, should go), additionally you have probably more to merge so I see no reason for this. Try it, nothing bad will happen ;-)
Any chance you can put the bin file with the normal download? If I have to reset things, I just search the mods folder for XML files, and copy em to the right location. With the split files I have to go find each and every mod that has an XML file, extract each one separately, before I can complete a reset. And I use a lot of mods. I end up adding the bin folder to the main file just to avoid this but I have to redo it each update.
Edit: And it's 7z, so I can't nicely plop it in. /converts to zip
There is now an 'AllinOne' version as zip under files/misc. It's also a 'w3string's version so you need to deinstall first. Please read the new description. The files in the main section will be splitted as long as vanilla NMM may not handle the bin folder properly.
if you have a bin folder in the same directory as the content folder, it will just sit there but let you copy it. You can see what I mean in my mod, God Mode. I have a bat to make it really simple.
In the 3rd picture down on the description your footnote refer to being able to set a default setting for the loadscreen overright (i think), but I didn't see that information listed anywhere. However, the 5th picture down also doesn't show up for me; so I"m guessing that's the missing instruction information?
Either way, is there a way to make that the default setting so I have to switch it to watch the loading videos instead of having to switch it everytime I load the game.
Sometimes the server takes time or I was uploading at the same time. Now, the description has been revised for the new version and it should be all there. Maybe you should read the chapter 'Configuration'.
