If you find the mod useful, an endorsement is always welcome.
Updated for Blood and Wine with version 2.0. Includes Carmenlengo trophy fix katalysis mentions below as well as some small buffs to a few old trophies.
Back then in vanilla game, I used to use the Griffin trophy for appearance only (I love its HairWorks animation) then I also switched to large monster trophies like Ekimmmara or Katakan for 10% bonus exp and also for nice appearance when strapped on Roach's saddle. Now with your latest mod I even more love those large monster trophies especially Griffin family trophies for great general bonuses and not to mention great appearance as well.
LOVE THIS MOD! Makes hunting monsters actually worth it. Any chance to add a standard chance to dismember? Since the very act of cutting off the monster head, counts as dismemberment? Nothing extreme. Just a 10% or less chance. Don't really care, your getting kudo's and endorsed anyway.
Im starting to work on it. I have two questions from you guys.
1. How many trophies did you guys acquire in the B and W expansion and can you list them? Looking at the files, there are 9 trophies but that doesn't necessarily mean you can acquire all 9 in game through normal means (without console).
2. I'd like some ideas on effects to add to these trophies. I'd like to keep all the bonuses unique on each trophy. Keep in mind chance to proc (poison, stun, burning, etc) do not work on trophies. I've tried adding them and they do not function.
As you're doing this, please remove the trailing space in the localisation_key_name and localisation_key_desc for camm_trophy. It's causing the trophy to not display friendly text in-game. Also, remove the Quest tag on that trophy. Otherwise, it's perma-stuck in inventory. Thanks.
So, should i choose C from BiA just on that specific conflict you mentioned above? Or C from BiA in both xml's everywhere? Sorry for asking tho, never used BiA before, but it's great so far, and don't wanna break it.
The game used duplicated XMLs files, one for normal game, the others for New Game Plus. Generally you'll see many duplicated conflicts in the bundled text list.
Ah. I didn't realize that there were duplicate files that both needed merging, and somehow the one in items ended up different than the one in items_plus. Thanks for the bump. It's loading fine now, and stats on trophies are the modified ones, so it seems to be working.
Thank you for this ElementaryLewis. I honestly was playing without merging that bundle text and I could start the game just fine. So I wonder, what did that conflict exactly cause? Because apparently, I was getting the new stats from Better Trophies and everything, so I dont really know what this solved (just asking, in case you know). Must be something like some item description or something like that, right?
Brothers In Arms restore the correct "Wyvern trophy" acquired during "Contract: Patrol Gone Missing" quest. So now it is different than a regular wyvern trophy.
@ElementaryLewis , So if I don't do the merge with BiA, and I have BiA with a higher priority, what would happen with that trophy you mentioned, would the stats that are shown be from BiA?
Isn't obvious? The conflicted mod will entirely disable Better Trophies. I just share an easy solution so you can benefit both the mods when you merge them.
Can confirm this mod is working with 4.04 as of 7/19/2023! Sorry if it's a useless comment, I've been trying to work out which mods need updating and which don't.
Is this mod set to autoequip every now trophy? i have this issue and im not sure if its because of this mod or what, after every single monster my trophy changes

edit: I mean like 10% or less, on all trophies.

EDIT: I made a mod that fixes the Camerlengo Trophy.
I uploaded version 2.0 and included the fixes you mentioned here. Thanks.
SELECT C!! When you got this merged conflict!
Don't hesitate to keep this up.

So the solution applied to both files.
These are the bundle conflicts I have

Better Trophies is one of the lucky old mod being Next Gen Compatible.

So far the most broken Trophy I've found, oddly enough, is the King of Swineherds. It may actually be overturned depending on the back end math.
+40% Crit Damage is no joke once your crit rate is 30%+, especially paired with abilities that ensure critical strikes.
