This mod changes one more thing. When you ride on roach you can't toggle between walk and slow walk (using default key ctrl I think). So this mod makes slow walking on roach impossible. Maybe it's a conflict with another mod, I don't know. I have mod 'better walking' installed too. But I don't think so.
This mod may still work but it removes the action of being able to 'reverse' Roach which was added by CDPR in the 4.0 update. Would be good to get the mod updated from the author (or someone else, if possible).
It is just a single file you have to compare and comment out 2x "if" and 2x "else" statements. If you cannot patch this out yourself, don't expect anyone else to do this very simple patch for you. Grab the original exploration.ws from the horse state folder, clone it into a new mod folder with the exact respective path leading to the file (mod__bla/content/scripts/... and so on) and edit the file accordingly to this mod here.
Could anyone make a mod that removes Geralt's "one-liners" when he's fighting? He usually says "Die", or "Damn you're ugly", among others when fighting monsters/humans, and it sorta pisses me off tbh..
mate, you are reading in my thoughts. i wish to remove Geralt's comments while in combat and some of deserters taunts (especially quote from "duke nukem"), but i don't exactly know how to do this (via wolvenkit? xml? w3strings?). if author of this mod could give some clues where to find those files and how to remove them it would be great.
This mod just changes two things: it comments out Geralt's spoken lines from the Exploration file for going faster and slower. Just manually download this mod to confirm it. So, you can do something similar I think with Geralt's other spoken lines. I think these appear in the Combat.ws but I'm not sure. If you find them in the script files, just comment them out in the same way: //
This combined with No Chatterboxes makes the game so much more atmospheric and immersive. CDPR should realize that their soundtrack and ambient noise are enough to carry the tone without having repetitive, meaningless audio cues from Geralt and NPCs!
@reapling I was basically looking for this, found some other sound mods (I like most of Geralts comments except towards Roach) and then saw your comment and yes you're a life saver, can't stand the annoying NPC sounds, and they are LOUD in game.
