Hello...after playing a brand-new game...everything here finally makes sense - there is one comment that is not part of this but an observation that I finally noticed...the random street prostitutes make comments and offers yet there is no viable dialog nor ability to interact. Was there ever an intention for the roaming street girls to be interactable?
Hey, I downloaded the most recent update for this mod, am playing on patch 4.04, but when I try to start the game I get this error message "Error [mod00unreasonableplotredesigned]local\unreasonableplotredesigned.ws(1): Unexpected '@'" I thought it was some conflict so I sorted with script merger making sure it has priority and all that, still got the error, and then I disabled all my other mods, reset script merger, and only ran this one, and it still gives me the same error message. I feel like I'm installing it correctly but I just cant seem to get it to work
Good day...another quest that always bothered me because we are forced to do it is - Rose on a Red Field. I truly do not see how this quest matters so much that there is no option to refuse.
Hello, I'm having an issue that I haven't seen anyone else have. I'm at "isle of mists" quest but it won't let me use the magic firefly no matter what I do, I'm in a boat in the correct spot and I've complete almost every quest I can, including all the ones that fail. Any help would be appreciated as I've been suck like this for a few days. I'm on next gen and w3eer.
"Everyone already felt that this quest makes no sense...". You mean the Reason of State quest? This idea only resonate with people of certain simplicity. No offence. Dijkstra is one of the most important characters in the Witcher universe. He plans wisely in advance and knows well what he is doing and why. We learn many times about his real plans to unite the north against the unprovoked aggression of Nilfgaard. In my opinion, he is the only person who can realistically do it. If anyone in this situation has made a big mistake, it is Roche, who completely fails to understand the geopolitical situation. He de facto betrays everyone around him, including Wes and Geralt, whom he manipulates by playing on "brotherhood" and "friendship" hoping that they will support him in his "free Temeria" madness. And then there is Philippa, this ruthless, cynical hypocrite, who was supposed to get the satisfaction of killing Dijkstra? Mercy! The only thing you can do is to look Roche in the eye, say goodbye to Wes with a look and leave. If you want to fix something, you should rather fix that kind of fanatics.
But still, if he plans wisely, he will murder them behind the scene, instead of suicide. So that's the most nonsense part of the vanilla quest, Dijkstra's super IQ dropped down to the ground. My mod tries to make him less mindless, knowing to set up more ambushers and to evacuate when things not going as intended.
Do you think the crystal ball is Dijkstra's source of information? I don't. Roche cooperated with him, but it was just a facade. Of course, the principle of limited trust applies, but if someone really wants to throw themselves at your sword, you won't do anything. Roche is shown as a blinded and lost man. Such people always drag innocent victims with them. Do you want to do something about it? Save Wes. Roche doesn't deserve this. The only nonsense in this story is taking the side of such creatures.
Edit: Treat my statement as an opinion or perhaps inspiration, not as criticism.
I don't understand why you're so mad? Did I say we should stand on Roche's side? Seems not. My point of view is Dijkstra is an important and one of the cleverest character in the game, so he at least needs to die smarter.
No one has to die and you should always look for another solution. But this way of thinking is ridiculed. Irritating but somewhat understandable... to me. I want to say that Dijkstra's survival is simply right (even righteous) and Rocha's taking the easy way out and stubbornly insisting on the principle: this is my opinion and I agree with it. Is it only Dijkstra or maybe Geralt too who deserves to be considered smart? And who will stand up for Wes? Does she also deserve such a fate? Maybe Philippa should turn her into a bird at the last moment. Okay, that's it. CU
@Wiator Reasons of State was hastily reworked after the War questline with Iorveth was cut. The original Reasons of State included Voorhis and had an alliance with Djikstra and Thaler
After multiple playthough's (just to have every ending) - I now just let Dijkstra kill everyone. I did not like Thaler in the 1st game - despised Roche and Ves in the 2nd game, and felt that Dijkstra did more that benefited everyone in the end...this ending never bothered me - not nearly enough as Crockback Bog.
Yo, Zatarga! You know, when you watch Garalt in a movie you are "on the sidelines". You like something, you don't like something else... and stuff like that. When you read about his problems and choices you start to identify with them to some extent. But when you play you become Geralt and you don't want to be treated like a mindless killing machine... I do hope. I don't like talking about Geralt behind his back because it would be like betraying myself. After all these years and just like you - after multiple playthough's - I can't do something against my / his nature. I would have absolutely no pleasure from playing further. Zero. Experiments from the "what if" series are... something I can understand (my circus my monkeys). But such a talented and creative modder, whose numerous mods are painfully immersive and in the spirit of Kaer Morhen promotes SUCH a development of the situation!? Christ on a bike! Remember the book that Geralt finds in Ciri's room, do you? The one about the twisted nature of curses? I hope nothing bad happens to the boy after all he did and said with / about the Reason... . All the best on the trail... Witcher.
Edit: I've been thinking about what you said about disappointment after the mission or disappointment with the mission with Stenger. You didn't reveal any details and I don't know what your expectations were or if you had any at all. Of course, one can be a "master of good taste" and let these people die, because "the mission" is, of course, the most important. And on the road to success, bury everything worth believing or trusting in. There is no guidebook for such dilemmas. Unless it's a chick with lips like a carp's, who came out of the water a good two weeks too early. She has an answer for everything and always. Nature reveals itself when you are tested. Everything else is poses and masks for various occasions. You have to admit that to save his family he was ready for anything. Regardless of the fact that the confrontation with the witches could have ended tragically for him. When I can, I help in such cases. It's the right thing to do.

@moonknight What do you mean by suggesting the name "the original..."?
I am embarrassed for you. Imagine coming here to complain that you dont like the mod author's choices and then try to justify why YOUR view is the correct one. Unreal. Also, your ideas just weren't that good. Mod author ftw, Sorry. Toodles.
Less emotion, more specifics, if you please. BTW, with such an application of the concept of embarrassment in the exchange of opinions, the ranks of witch hunters are definitely for you. CU never ever.
First of all, thank you for this mod, it is truly a must have. I have one suggestion: when you give Radovid information about Phillipa and the megascope crystal, he pays you 135 Crowns. Even the cheapest Witcher contracts pay more than that and I think it's ridiculous that a king would pay just 135 Crowns (and not get laughed in the face by Geralt). I think the amount could be increased to 500-1000 Crowns
Yo... It can be any amount but with the possibility of rejecting the offer. We already had a good example of this attitude in the past in White Orchard. Geralt does a favor to Radovid for a tip about Junior and the entire north by "freeing" it from the monster (Edit: Philippa E). BTW, what a good way to start the process of removing the curse... Naturally, one can also give this lady a twentieth chance to improve. She will surely be happy. After all, the girl received (as a gift from admirers;))) a chance to give her ex the last kiss of death. Alternatively, ofc, AND in promotion for merits and oh, my stars and garters! a good example for adepts for all time.
That doesn't surprise me. You had to know the context, which would require reading the previous exchange of opinions. Such a situation and rather directed at the potential creator of the mod.

Just curious.
Thank you
A. I always found it strange that regardless of who rules at the end of the game ' that we never have any additional interaction nor able to locate...
B. Found it odd that the dev team would not have several more or different conversations and interactions with whomever appears at Corvo in the end.
Great work, and thank you

I only make the way Dijkstra dies more convincing, at least better than vanilla.
