This preset made me unable to go past the main menu and caused the main menu to be limited to 8fps, as soon as I deleted this preset the problem was solved. rtx2080 intel 9th gen cpu and 16gb ram, def not a hardware problem.
i'm having the exact same issue with regards to the FPS dropping to 8; the install instructions are pretty straightforward, so i can't imagine how it's been installed wrong.
i even turned off anisotropic filtering, no difference.
Might be a bit late and i don't even know if you see this but thank you so much.I was going insane trying to figure out what the problem was and i only had to disable the FPS limit.Thank you!
Ok. I will reply to myself. The main fps sucker is anisotropy filtering. After turning this off I have barely any performance difference, however the sweetest effect - bloom removal remains untouched :)
Funny thing - enabling AF by ENB even on some trivial settings (x4 for example) causes huge FPS drop and visually x16 is barely doing any difference - same effect is achievable with reshade sharpening/color correction filters.
Where can I find the anisotropy filtering, I cannot see it in the red engine options, before I can run the game at around 80 plus fps and now its somehow stuck on 42 fps, very strange, I also don't use ubersampling, really tryna figure out the issue here, would appreciate any help I can get, thank you!
Secondly, a reminder to back up your files when messing with original stuff.
Now, if your sky is weird here is what fixed it for me:
1. Open the "reforgedsettings.fxh" (it's the optional file) 2. Either go to line 105 or search(Ctrl + F) for "#define DISTORTION_TYPE 2" 3. Change "#define DISTORTION_TYPE 2" into "#define DISTORTION_TYPE 0" 4. Save file
best lights on any witcher 2 enb I've tested thus far but it's a bug happening that makes the sky weird. it looks like my game ate shrooms if I look up from specific angles. it distorts a bit while changing sky colours. mainly green and purple. it's normal when I turn on original post-processing but cant seem to pinpoint what actually makes it so. I don't know how to make enbs and stuff only how to modify a little bit in-game like turning on/off bloom for example. if it wasn't for this I'd main this enb hard af. good s#*! man <3
This is caused by a bit of a weird trick I made up when doing the tonemapping, I guess the trick does more harm than good though. I uploaded an updated enbeffect.fx that will fix this issue. I didn't test it for long but the changes visually should be fairly minimal.
