thank you so much for this mod, and for making all those options for us to choose, and if I may I'd like to ask you if you could add as another option the dark medallion that hiuuz made here https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher/mods/1088?tab=images it would be a nice addition for this already great mod.
If I may suggest an improvement, you can simplify the installation process for users by simply providing 8 options (each of the 4 with 2 versions) with 8 _texture00 folders, each with the appropriate face and arm files all loaded into them.
People tend to simply copy files into override and that can lead to the mod malfunctioning with most armors.
Also I think your instructions on the description page can be simplified as you have explained in your reply to the below comment.
Under "Main Files", at the bottom should be a section called "White Eyebrows". Once in there, you'll see a variety of options I've tried to list as descriptively as possible.
Assuming for example, you would like "Striga Scar with Headband and Body Scars" then click into this folder. You'll see folders labelled "1.0" and "1.1". The 1.0 version is a less pale, more rosy looking skin colour for Geralt whereas 1.1 is a more pale version of Geralt. You should be able to put these into the Override file if i'm correct, however if not put these into a file called "_textures00". If you do not have one of these, then simply create one with that name or use the same folder the arm textures are in within my files.
Lastly, if you were to use the arm textures, simply go into the Arm folder and pick either 1.0 or 1.1 depending on which version you picked for the head and you should be able to drag these into the Data folder within the game's directory.
I hope this helped, but if you have any further questions please let me know and I'll try to help as much as I can!
Thank you! I already finished the game and it was great) The problem was that the headband wasn’t black from the beginning of the game and the eyebrows weren’t white, sort of... until I put on the Excellent leather jacket, after getting the texture it worked like in your screenshot, but after Raven's Armor the bandage and eyebrows took on the wrong color again... Maybe you can check this point in the mod files. Thank you again for your hard work, good luck!
I had the same issue when I simply put files into override folder. But it works as intended if you follow Rustyok's instructions and put the face files into the arm texture00 folder.
I'd say probably not, I'm not sure how I'd go about achieving it without it looking weird or without at least a small adjustment to the model. Although I hope to revisit this mod somepoint soon, so I'll give it a go then and see.
Thanks for the body scars. I got armor mods for every armor Geralt can wear in the game, but nobody did a mod for the white shirt to either have the scars showing or a new shirt to conceal the lack of scars. I like
First, thanks so much for creating this mod, always wanted the Striga scar mod for this mod as Hiuuz did such a good job. Second, another question, and maybe this isn't up your alley, but just wanted to see if you'd be able to do this - any way you could create the Witcher 2 "Rivian High Ponytail" for Witcher 1 by chance? I've never been a huge fan of his hair down all the time, and always thought the Rivian High Ponytail was pretty cool, so just wanted to ask. :)
Hey, thank you I appreciate it. I'm glad people are liking the addition.
I actually was quite interested in something similar to this. I remember seeing a comment about how Kalkstein's hair would work for a Witcher 3 hairstyle so I thought I'd test it. I managed to scale the hair mesh over Geralt's head fairly easily as they fit together well, however got busy around late October and couldn't continue and then forgot about it. The Rivian ponytail is my favourite in Witcher 2 so for sure, I'm starting to have more time for modding again so I'll perhaps see what I can do at some point :)
I decided I wanted to do the edit myself along with some other changes, and even though I don't have much experience with Photoshop and even less with modding the game, I am pretty satisfied with the result.
Awesome :) Got the chest hair removed well! Modding for this game is a big learning process, really good once you start figuring everything out it's quite rewarding. Really cool edit!
Yeah I was wondering about that. I used crazybump to make normal and specular maps, it's a good tool as it allows you to make various different types of maps. I used a mixture of Photoshop and GIMP, but in GIMP you can put the specular with the normal by applying a layer mask. Also if you haven't already I'd recommend checking out the Djinni wiki, especially the Polish pages as they have additional stuff which are very useful
