The mod doesn't seem to be working for me. I installed it before starting a new playthrough, as advised. I go to Sefors near the Citadel and she just sells vanilla goods.
Reading one of the comments, it seems she may start selling the clothes after some time playing the game. Well I'm at the point in the game where I've set up one of the repeater units and I've finally been allowed into the Ranger Citadel, but she still isn't selling me anything other than the default goods; no clothes whatsoever.
I have the "Mods" folder placed in my "...\steamapps\common\Wasteland 2 Director's Cut\Build\WL2_Data" directory, so there is now a "Mods" folder inside the "WL2_Data" folder. It seems like everything is in the right place.
I will say that I am using the Fan-Made Patch mod, so I guess that's interfering with Ye Olde Ranger Fashion Shoppe? I'd rather use a fan patch than a clothes mod, so I guess Ye Olde Ranger is a no-go for me. I hope you come back to this one day and make it compatible with the Fan-Made Patch, if that is indeed the issue.
EDIT: With the Fan-Made Patch mod installed, the directory of the "Mods" folder seems to have changed by default, now being placed in your documents folder. You can change the directory by launching Wasteland 2 DC, going into the "Options" menu and then going to the "Modding" tab. If you don't, you may need to drop the "Mods" folder that comes with Ye Olde Ranger Fashion Shoppe to the "...\Documents\my games\Wasteland2DC" directory.
However, I did all this and Sefors still didn't have any clothes to sell. I may have to start a new game but I haven't tested that out yet. So this is just a heads up for anyone trying to use the two mods together; you may have to place the "Mods" folder that comes with Ye Olde Ranger Fashion Shoppe to another location if you are using the Fan-Made Patch mod.
If I find a definitive solution to all of this, I'll try to post back.
EDIT 2: Okay, so...at some point Sefors somehow got all the clothes from this mod added to her inventory. A few hours after posting this comment, I journeyed back to Ranger Citadel after exploring in-game for a while. I randomly decided to check her store and lo and behold, the clothes are there along with her usual items! I have no idea what happened to make her modded inventory suddenly start acting right.
I'm still on the playthrough where it seemed like the mod was not working, so it's not like I started a new game. I DID copy everything from Ye Olde Ranger's "Mods" folder to the mod directory that the Fan-Made Patch mod adds, but like I said earlier, that didn't seem to fix things initially. It seems like the mod somehow needs either enough play time from the user or enough passage of in-game time to finally kick in.
So if you use this mod and Sefors' store inventory doesn't have clothes...just wait it out. Eventually it will just start working, I guess.
I will, however, advise the use of the Fan-Made Patch, as among other things it dramatically expands the amount of clothing options you have when creating your starting squad. With the Fan-Made Patch you can select all the clothing options that Ye Olde Ranger Fashion Shoppe has without dealing with any finicky vendor inventories.
Gave this a try, but had to ditch it. The vendor's original stuff was not there, just all the various clothing that the mod does. Deleting the file didn't fix it...I had to start a new game.
I'm using the latest Improved Modding Capabilities version of the game and the Oasis mod, so maybe one of those conflicts with this?
Please forgive my ignorance. I don't understand the difference between the installation directory and the game directory. I cannot seem to find WL2_data folder on my pc. Could someone please help?
