I too, have decided to move away from nexus mods and now exclusively upload to thunderstore! Feel free to report bugs here, as long as thunderstore doesn't have a way to actually do that. Alternatively you can join the OdinPlus discord and find the Comfort Tweaks thread at "mod-test-releases" in the Mod Testing Category
Is there any plan to add compatibility for Valheim Plus? Would love to use both since Valheim Plus doesn't let you configure comfort like this mod does!
I'm exploring ways to reward players on my server for building bases in more locations around the world. I'm currently using your config option to remove Rested on Teleport to create a kind of close-to-home buff. It's a little harsh though, as it prevents people from having a base nearby and using a teleporter to skip a tedious run.
Would you please consider adding a variation to this config option? Something like Reduce Rested buff by X seconds for every 100 distance teleported = 0 Default of 0 would effectively disable it.
I put a similar request in the OdinPlus discord in the Comfort Tweaks thread at "mod-test-releases," like you asked. I hope you don't mind a duplicate posting - I'm just not sure where you're reading. :)
It would seem the small patch today (November 7th, 2023) has broken this mod. I was seeing something in the log saying it has been "tampered with" and "aborting" at the end of the line, and the game just simply crashes to desktop after about ~5 seconds of this line showing up. Disabling the mod, even though I have 58 other mods, allowed the game to run again.
I'm sharing this just in case anyone else is experiencing this. Thank you!
Edit: I see this has already been reported by someone and a response made by the mod author in the bug tracker.
Getting a weird issue both in single-player and on dedicated server where build pieces are listed like a dozen times. During rainstorms, going in a sheltered area reduces FPS so much that I'm basically watching a slideshow (at best).
[EDIT] No errors are shown in the log. [/EDIT]
The behavior only started recently, and the mod hasn't been updated in a while, so I'm guessing it may be a conflict with one of my other mods, but I can't imagine which.
weird. the mod does seem to work in functionality, but I cannot bring the info up with the F6 (it's the default in the settings and it's unoccupied with anything else too)
Where did my previous comment go? No discussion about Keymanager? No better/proper explanation/reasoning than the faq?
I mean it's running on a Hetzner Server (germany I assume) and doesn't even contain an imprint (required by law I think) or anything resembling a privacy policy (with required contact information) or terms of service...
Are there any known incompatibilities other than V+? Any time I try to add the mod to my modlist it causes a crash on startup. I could try disabling my other mods individually but that would take hours. Tried with 3.1.9 and 3.1.1.
Would you consider adding an option to this mod to have rugs each add 1 comfort again? Losing that in the latest Valheim update was very startling and disappointing, and it seems like a fix for that would be something that would make a good addition to this mod!
Thank you - was looking for exactly that feature (and maybe Stay Rested between Sessions = true).
But how to activate it? Couldn't figure it out with version 3.1.1 (and 3.1.9) and have some notes: (1. no default config in download archive - would love to be able to edit without the need to (re)start game beforehand.) 2. ~9,7 KiB (~11 with v3.1.9) config is created when the game is run 1st time after adding mod but nothing about counting carpets/rugs inside. 3. ~22 KiB config is created only after joining / trying to join a server/game - carpets and rugs are listed in section [7. Comfort Piece Settings] but nothing about counting them separately. 4. Tried setting Comfort Group = Nonefor all carpets and rugs but that didn't seem to work.
And how exactly does this mod work with/on servers? - Still needed on clients anyway? Config Locked = true- Does that ^^ mean the clients config gets overridden just in time/memory or overwritten in the local config file too?
Well this is odd - just set Config Locked = false and manually reset the carpets/rugs and manually set them back to none in-game (via ConfigurationManager.dll) and suddenly it works.
So: setting the values to None with a text editor (NP++) doesn't work but in-game does?!
Good Catch! I actually made a little fucky wucky, should work via text editor config too in next version. The reason the config is only generated properly once you're joining a world, is that the piece list is generated automatically from the game. That way, it should work even the game updates and adds new pieces or if you add custom pieces via other mods. (unless something else breaks xD)
thank you - any planed release date for the new update? I still need to set/reset the carpets every time I join my server (which isn't running the mod right now). Sometimes after I join the carpets/rugs are set to "Carpet" other times to "None" but I need to set/reset every time anyway...
