Hello, The files for this mod are not in the correct format and need to be edited. The file should end with the following: }, ] However, all the files are ending thusly: }
] This is causing the mod to not work properly when I tried to use it. I had to edit all 6 files and add the , after the } at the end to get them working correctly and remove the extra space.
EpicLoot items are only 'tradeable' in this version once you have the Epicloot mod installed. It's possible for JSON configs to list things that are not vanilla and still function; however, you can get red text startup errors when a JSON calls for items that the game cannot find. It's better to release 2 versions unfortunately imo.
Yeah, that makes sense. Maybe put a little disclaimer in the description that this requires the actual EpicLoot mod.
One more question: In the third screenshot there is a menu with "secret stach", "gamble" and so on. Is that supposed to be in this mod or is this also from another mod?
The menu with gamble is part of EpicLoot, very good mod that adds a lot to the game. I would recommend people add Creature Level & Loot Control mod to make vanilla mobs more interesting since EpicLoot drops make players OP.
I agree, I stayed away from it for years, but recently it seems to be more reliable. Once a server hits over 50 mods it starts to have issues & game updates only amplify problems.
I will always try to provide a Vanilla option as much as possible for whatever I upload. Traders Extended was super clean, but not even having configs (JSONS)???
Sadly a lot of the configs people created felt like 'get rich quick schemes' vs a real economy. Not sure I have perfected things as of yet...
Over time I will fine tune the coin values, I have spent a lot of time trying to find a balance. The 'coins' actual weight is a real problem to be honest, but gold weighs a lot in RL of course.
Player feedback helps me improve my configs.
Appreciate the feedback and I have updated the description to reflect your advice!
Coin weight is indeed a nuisance... And if coin weight is an issue then the solution would be something realistic, like in the real world. Adapting to a new currency, one that is lighter and worth more than what coin is. We don't have to make up a new currency however, we can just adjust the coin weight to be lighter than what it is. Because when things start costing 2000+, which the developer didn't account for when choosing coin weight, it starts getting too heavy to carry all that gold over to Haldor/Hildir/Enchanting table :P
Agreed, the only fix for now is either scale economy down.....make gold rare. (This is part of the new HARD MODE configs I am working on.)
OR
Use the PackHorse Mod with the Belt of Strength to allow players to carry weight.
In some aspect gold is indeed very heavy and the coins in the game look thick - so I guess you 'could' say the weight is somewhat realistic?!? BUT YEAH, not a fan of heavy coins :\

First time anybody ever encountered an error, hundreds of downloads later? Strange, but anyhow....
Hope the new version helps, 1 file had an extra space and it has been fixed.
