Mistlands update killed this mod unfortunately. It may need fixing, something always changes in Valheim with every update that breaks most mods....the game is not mod friendly or i dunno
Can also confirm this mod as of right now doesn't work eith mistlands. For me it specifically stops portals working. Really hope someone with the skills makes a work around
Can't get this mod to work on our dedicated server. It gives the biome effects, like poison but nothing else loads. I've tried everything. I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled the mod, bepin and completely restarted the server. Nothing. Somebody please help. My friend group was so looking forward to this and now we're ready to move onto another game.
Do you think it's wise to postpone installing this mod until the new Mistlands update comes out? I'm worried about installing this on our server and when the biome is officially released it breaking the game or possibly resetting all progress.
For this reason I instruct all players on my servers to make a copy of the game install folder and launch the executable directly from that new folder. This way the new copy is not updated by steam, does not make or break the progress through either new bugs introduced from official patches or mods that may break. We only then update if there is a major beneficial change in terms of content or fix and it gives me the admin time to set up a secondary server and try out the new content and mod compatibility before telling clients to update.
It installs like every other Unity mod that uses the BepInEx modding framework. You just put the folder provided by the mod author into your /plugin/ folder, which should be next to your Valheim.exe if you installed BepInEx correctly.
Why do so many people here expect everything handed to them on a silver platter. If you can install 1 mod you can install pretty much all of them.
The author even listed BepInEx and a link to it as the only hard requirement this mod has. Not sure how it's so hard for you to just read the description or click the Requirements button.
A silver platter? some people are new to modding and have no idea how to install some of these things. It's commonplace to put install instructions into the mod description. If nothing else a pinned comment goes a long way. We all need to be a little patient with people who are frustrated, because it usually comes from a lack of understanding of the process.
You pretend like, Unity mod, and BepInEx modding are considered normal or generic.
There is only a handful of unity mods that allow modding in general, BepInEx is used for said handful, which is not very big, its not common information, and this particular mod that you inflating your ego infact includes an illrelgular installation method.
Please pull your head out of your bum, the man is making a very very valid statement.
Silver platter? how about, basic common information.

I dont care if its the same as any other straight forward mod (Hint Hint its not, requires files to go into config instead, which is not normal)
Its simply lazy and unprofessional to not include basic installation instructions.
ESPECIALLY if there simply, Extract to BepInEx/Plugins
How hard is it to follow community formula?
