The Grow Trees hotkey in 1.4.0 hotkey is changing the tree type; this is fixed in 1.4.1 (EDIT: except for nuts, maybe)
Issue is caused by bad data in Tree.cropSetter._crop.growablePrefabs[] for tree crops.
Version 1.4.1 includes a workaround to detect this and edit growablePrefabs before growing the tree. This workaround is enabled by default, but can be turned off it it causes issues with a future update.
I've updated the mod to the latest game version. (At the time of posting.)

Hmm, I wondered about that, I know when I set it to 0, it was instant, but I also assumed if set to anything between 0 and 5, it would still take 5 in-game minutes. This assumption is because of how the in-game time appears to tick. Meaning, I'm under the impression you'd need to increment it by 5. IE: 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and so on. This is not how it works. ---- Setting to 1 does work for me. So can I ask for some logs?
You have my blessing to make your own fork of the mod for updates/new features/any other reason you feel like. While I have intended to get things updated that obviously hasn't happened, and I'm not going to get a chance to play/mod Traveller's Rest again for a while.

I'm trying to play with this mod but the game keeps crashing. The log is showing the following error. Can you please tell me how to resolve this? I get the error even if restful tweaks is the only mod I'm running. Thank you in advance.
Hey, yall: took a look at the logs and it seems the Galaxy Service error has to do with the multiplayer - it wants you to be logged in to GOG Galaxy and if you aren't it gives that error. If you aren't playing multiplayer it should be fine. The actual error is higher up in the log. Provided for developer convenience. I'm not super great with programming but it looks like something changed with the animals (specifically something called AnimalNPC). It's probably beyond my ability to fix (oh my god, why did they use randomly named methods, this is madness) but I could conceivably create a fork with the animal bits taken out that might work, if drstalker is okay with that, just to bridge any gap between now and a real fix.
Not sure if you are still supporting this mod, Drstalker. But I am getting an error when the mod is being loaded (see below). This is the only mod that I am attempting to load, btw. The game version is now 0.7.0.6 (as of Mar 3, 2025). Love the idea of this mod and would be willing to try and help more if I can. Thanks.
it's completely outdated (almost every mod here. For example: Prices, Aging and so on). Many settings don't work, the stack amount is one that doesn't work. It's a real shame, it's one of the best mods for Travellers Rest. An upgrade would be really nice.
