    Hi Argonil

I love the mod and the game but im not a fan of the clicky nature of the game, so i mostly play with summons
Is there any plans to add more summons mod in the future?

No. Summons are fine as they are in the mod, I've completed many playthroughs with summons in this mod.

    Hi Argonil!!

Thank you for being candid in an earlier comment and nothing wrong with that. :)

There is a bug in one of the files that is part of this mod currently.

The concerning file is: wolf_04.dbr  - located in records\skills\nature\pet\
    -  The issue with the file is the pet is not scaling for Legendary - the affected line (Character in DB Editor I believe) reads 4;34, should be 4;34;54,

I believe you did a fix for the stormwisp_04.dbr file specifically for this issue if I'm not mistaken. I think the Hunter pet file monsterlure_04.dbr may also be part mod as well and likely same issue, though I can't recall atm.

[Note: There are other _04.dbr pet files that have this issue, but since they are not part of this mod, I won't mention them. But the missing Legendary scaling is the same.]

    Hi Argonil!!

This is not an issue with your mod in any way, but there seems to be 6 or 7 DBR files in the XPack2 Items\Loottables folders that have the wrong affixes files assigned to them. I guess it came that way with the Ragnarok DLC. I forgot to transfer the file with the details on my other SSD, but here's the short version.

They are all either in the Unique or CommonDynamic folders and the items in question have higher affixes table assigned to them. For example, a normal helm has _e04 file assigned to it instead of _n04 file. At least in one case, a melee armband is using the mage armband suffix. I think it was the legenday version. It was a small number of files adn took me 5 minutes to edit all of them. I believe it's a bug since all the other similar files I reviewed had a appropriate n/e/l dbr files assigned to them.

I wasn't sure you'd be interested in adding it to your next update or not, but wanted to mention it at least. I can get the exact file locations and file names if you are interested. Please let me know, thanks.

I used grepWin to search for _e0 in all XPack2 files and every file that contained that string were Epic difficulty as they should be. Are you sure the files in question came from this mod?

I will double check and get all the dbr files involved and the exact lines involved in the files. I hope I didn't make a mistake, but I was reviewing 100s of item files to learn more about them, so it's possible. Anyway, I'll report back tomorrow with exact details.

I'll see if I can I sign up for imgur and post some image links. (if I don't forget, sorry that happens sometimes haha)

      Hello again Argonil!

I was able to use imgbox site to upload some images .  I'll place them under spoilers to avoid a wall of text. Let me know if any of it is unclear.

!! I also wanted to re-interate that this is not a problem w/ your mod in any way, shape or form and the files are not part of your mod, this is a bug in the vanilla AE version 2.9H and probably the current UP6. !! As in the original comment, I'm only mentioning it in case you wanted to add the fixes when you do your next update since it deals with loot affixes. It's purely optional on your part and you are in no way responsible for the dev team errors (who btw, I greatly appreciate for their hard work!). :)

[Disclaimer: It's my 1st time ever using an image hosting site. So I added a spoiler w/ details to avoid any surprises to be safe.]

!!NOTE!! There are 3 or 4 ads on the page when I reviewed the image. They don't seem to be explicit right off the bat, but they are on the same page when I reviewed my uploaded image. They appear to lead to mature content, but are easy to avoid clicking. I simply closed the window after I reviewed the image. It's my 1st time using the site (and I didn't have to create an account), but I felt a warning was necessary just in case, since I am responsible for posting the comment. Norton also flagged it as safe during Google search.

All these files are from TQAE 2.9H (GOG version) of the unpacked database.arz file.

Below are the file locations related to the DBR files w/ possible issues I mentioned:

      Note #1:
I decided not to take pics of bracelet/circlet/helm files, since it's the exact same issue as the armband files, literally. Same exact line and item ref number, just different item grade and/or type. If there are big enough differences, I will make sure to note it as such.

      Example:
      armband_e01b.dbr vs bracelet_e01b.dbr  -  both are e01b files (e01, e01b, e01c have matching data, except line 11)
      armband_e01c.dbr vs bracelet_e01c.dbr  -  both are e01c files (e01, e01b, e01c have matching data, except line 11)
      armband_l01.dbr  vs bracelet_l01.dbr       -  both are l01    files  (l01, l01b, l01c have matching data, except line 11)
      armband_n01c.dbr vs bracelet_n01c.dbr  -  both are n01c files (n01, n01b, n01c have matching data, except line 11)

The following location contains files with almost the exact issue and almost the same _e01b; _e01c, etc matching DBR files, except this time they are circlets and helms.

So far, these were all the items I've found so far.

I only looked into the ITEM(S) folders in RECORDS; RECORDS/XPACKRECORDS/XPACK2; RECORDS/XPACK3 and RECORDS/XPACK4 (RECORDS/XPACK4 is from the Overhaulplus mod, since my 2.9H database.arz is only Ragnarok and Atlantis; but I compared the 1st four folders to the mod ones and they match the irregularities, so I'm going to assume that mod author has the latest EE up6). If I go through other folders, I will make sure to note any irregularities I find.

I'm not interested in fixing those vanilla bugs, whose files the mod doesn't even include. Some of those changes are intentional at best and "legit" at worst, e.g. many of the items in Ragnarok can roll with Veteran's prefix even though they aren't chest armor. You can even get Veteran's Boots of the Valkyrie which is extremely powerful but not supposed to exist, and I intend to leave it like that because it's technically legit and many people like it. I don't plan on fixing any affix issues inherent to Ragnarok that make items more overpowered or unusual, I'm leaving that to the official updates. It also means that the mod will be less likely to get outdated in the event that I can no longer maintain it.

I won't mention unrelated files. I also hope I haven't offended in some way with my choice of mentioning these files. That was not my intention.

Do you wish me to remove the last comment, since it's unrelated to this mod? I don't mind.  And should I still continue to report on issues related to this mod? If not, then I'll make this my last visit for a while and sorry for any troubles. :)

Thank you again for your mod. It's mods like this that inspire people to revisit the game. Even if players further modify it (for personal use ofc), it still doesn't change the fact that the mod made a big impact for TQ fans. I wish you the best in your future modding, keep up the good work. I also value your opinions, so thank you for that.

Optional reading, just some final words. Can safely ignore. :)

P.S. On the side note, it took me 10+ mins to save that 1st horse lol and more than 15 mins to finish the 3 cyclops. They were absolutely brutal lol. I love pet classes, but even with more pets, they are squishy with the current changes. So your mod + some changes let's me continue with the game, or I might have stopped otherwise...and I made it harder (maybe too hard lol), not easier, I promise. I just like pets/summons alot... :)

I don't mind bringing such topics up for discussion, if I came across as having been offended then it's just because I'm a candid person. Feel free to report issues related to the mod, and even vanilla issues which you think might be within the scope of the mod, then we'll see if I deem it so.

    Hi Argonil!

I was looking through extensively at the file structures last night to better understand how things works for mods and ran across what appears to be some text irregularities in DBR files that lead to some anm/tex file names associated with their related ARC files.

In this case, it was regarding the Gorgon Armbands where the DBRs list the anm/tex file (I forgot which) as medusaarmbandmedusaarmband in all 3 DBR files (N/E/L). After checking the "A Few Bug Fixes" associated ARC file, it seems the file is named medusaarmband (anm or tex) and not medusaarmbandmedusaarmband.

I don't know if this is intended or not and if not, should I put this and any others anomalies I find in the "BUGS" section? Or is this ok?

    Hello there!

I'm getting an invalid map error after starting the custom map and returning to the main screen. It's likely an issue on my end, but thought I'd ask anyway.

Anyone else have this issue and was able to resolve it?

    Thanks in advance!

    P.S. I'm using TQ:AE GOG version 2.9 Hotfix

You mean the error that also says it's a "bounce mod"? That's normal. Then you just select your character and start the game.

      Thank you for the reply!

I actually found out last night after Gloogling that and playing a char. Worked just as you said.

I also merged your mod with the More Skill Points + Exp x4 + Loot Plus + More Spawn Rate + Enchanting Unlimited mod and so far it works fine, though I'm still a low level character. (Though I think I only merged their skill points files/folders and not the loot plus/spawn files)

But I wanted to ask, is it normal to always choose Custom Game every time I start up TQ:AE? I thought I only had to do that once I create the char like Grim Dawn and would always default to that at each startup.

Or did I do something wrong?

P.S. Your mod is awesome, endorsed!

Yes, you have to choose Custom Game each time.

Merging things like Exp x4 with this mod is gonna mess things up. Many of the mod's changes are located in gameengine.dbr and the same goes for Exp x4, so if you replace this mod's gameengine.dbr with Exp x4's then a lot of this mod will be overwritten.

Also, I don't mean to judge or anything, but I'm judging you hard. O.O
If you use that many cheats then you'll probably regret it. All those cheats will get the happy juices flowing in the beginning, but eventually...
The Loot Plus version of this mod is a good compromise that will leave some challenge for you, but with all those cheats you're merging, your accomplishment of beating the game will feel hollow at the end, trust me. You'll end up feeling like you've mostly wasted your time. As a veteran TQ player I personally use XMAX FTW without Loot Plus with a Self-Found ruleset (no item transfers) just to keep myself engaged. I think x3 spawn multiplier feels like the way the mod is meant to be played, or you can dial it up to x5 if you really want to test your mettle.
The Loot Plus version is very fun for a casual playthrough or for beginners, I actually recommend playing that version first to get acquainted with the game's loot. It's surmountable and helps you experiment with more items at your disposal to tackle the various challenges in the different acts. E.g. you'll be thankful that you've got an item with poison resistance already in your bags when you reach the Tower of Judgement in act 4 on Legendary. It kinda shows you the ropes :P

      Hello, thanks for the reply!

I respect others oppinions and don't take anything personally (99.99% of the time anyway, I'm human lol).

As to the game, I actually beat TQ:IT (before AE version) many, many times w/o the use of any mods at all. This was years ago though. These days I can't play any one game for too long before it tires me out, so I end up playing various games. Times change, personal life and I got older I guess lol.

In-between playing Grim Dawn, Kingdoms of Amalur, Pillars of Eterlity and a few other games, I happen to come back to TQ:AE. I can't play any of these games or other games I have installed too for long. So Monopoly, Risk II, a few other board games, some Hidden Cat games (that arrived on GOG recently) and a few more are what I use in-between playing the RPGs is how I cope with my current life. :)

So while I appreciate the concern about me ruining my enjoyment, I'm just working out some things while playing these games for my own reasons. I actually enjoy trying to learn the modding of game files more than the games if I'm being honest lol. That's not to say I don't love all the games, but right now complex or fast paced gaming wears me out fast (mentally) for some reason. Also, I'm just playing cause I'm stuck on certain real life stuff.

So I think it's great you look out for people, but for me at least, it's just a time sink to help through some stuff. :)

You have an awesome mod and I hope you'll continue to mod the games you enjoy and I have no doubt the community will come to enjoy them all. I don't know how long I'll continue to play games, but if I'm still around, I'll keep an eye out for them. :)

P.S. Manga/Manhwa and Anime also help alot! And also, thanks for the poison resist tips, I'll keep it in mind if I ever get to that point.

P.P.S. Quick clarification. I only copied the gameengine.dbr and playerlevel.dbr from his mod to your mod. Your mod didn't contain either of those files afaik. Also, I was planning to try the x5 version. And the items I'll use will be whatever I can find. Its been years since I played TQ after all lol.

Like I said, many of this mod's changes are located in gameengine.dbr and the same goes for Exp x4, so if you replace this mod's gameengine.dbr with Exp x4's then a lot of this mod will be overwritten.

However, there are 2 different files called gameengine.dbr. One is located in records/game/ and another in records/xpack/game/. The former one is obsolete, it doesn't do anything. If Exp x4 used the former one then the mod doesn't work. Regardless, you should not overwrite the gameengine.dbr from this mod or many of this mod's changes will be lost.

Ok, I'm going to go with your suggestion and just use your mod as a stand alone without merging it with other mods just to avoid any issues.

Well, I did end up merging the caravan part of another mod for more character/caravan space (for personal use ofc) and...I wasted a lot of time doing it lol, but it worked...mostly. Just missing a few rows from Transfer stash and Relic vault, oh well. Hopefully it doesn't cause any issues later haha.

At least now I have 20x20 stash and lots of inventory space! (Sorry, but I get kinda hung up on low space limits. Now sure how I played the original without feeling this way. Guess age changes us lol.)

But I'm enjoying your mod so far on x3!

It's important that you take the files from this mod's Resources folder and add them to the same folder in your merge. The Art Manager doesn't know how to handle them properly and removes some contents from the .ARC files, so you need to put the original files back after using Art Manager.

@Argonil Hello! Thanks for the reply.

I actually got that part resolved. Seems I forgot to delete the stash, transfer and relic files that's found in the SaveData/ folders. It was actually in the EGA mod authors description page and I guess I missed that part for some reason. After I followed that step, it worked. For existing characters, I had to also delete their 2 personal stash files for the same reason.

The original N66_Mods.arc was added the Resources folder after the Art Manager step. This way I didn't have to do anything to it. I actually wanted to learn to do it from scratch, but none of the TQAE tools that come with the game lets me display DBR or ARC type files for modifying. So I'm left with no choice but to only use Art Manager to merge stuff without being able to create my own stuff.

Also, exactly as you said, Art Manager removes stuff from the .ARC files if not done properly.

Thank you for always trying to help, really appreciate it. Alot of what your said gave me either the answers or the clues that lead to resolving the issues.

Ofc, everything I did so far was for personal use only. If I can ever get the TQAE tools to work, then maybe I can try to create a mod from scratch. But for now, nothing I do let's me properly display DBR files or ARC type files for editing.

Hello Argonil , I owe you thanks once more. :)

After trying both mods (XMAX and EGA) for a few days, I enjoyed them enough to want to merge them yesterday. It took over 5 hours of careful inspection of each mod and suprisingly they were both compatible (likewise, both had similar ARC files). I was even able to create some fake tpl files (couldn't get original ones) to overcome the merging errors that Art Manager listed. It was probably thanks to some of the TQ fan site tutorials that gave me the hint. And both now work well together w/o any issues. At least in the few hours I tried it.

It was thanks to your replies that helped me think beyond my limited experience. You're probably gonna judge me harshly again, but it's probably an ocd problem I have that I can't be satisfied with just one thing. My eternal curse I guess. On the plus side, I took away the cheats that I added! That's good news right? =P

But your mod was wonderful and so was theirs, so thank you again and I hope to see future games with more of your mods. This time for sure I'll play them w/o any addtitional edits...if my ocd doesn't get the better of me. =P

Quest Items Resized mod has been updated 2 months ago. Now 1.2 and added Cauldron Plates. And I checked 7.6 version of this mod doesn't include 1.2 version of Quest Items Resized, only 1.1 without Cauldron Plates. How can I add this changes to Loot Plus XMAX FTW. What files do I need to change?

I will add it when I create the next version. Can't say exactly when.

Just click on the file's version number or read the Logs tab, it's there.

Hello, i am not sure If you are still active but in the small chance you are, i need help with your mod.
I made all the steps and the mod still not working.
Is there something specific that must be done?
I have created folder "custommaps" (havent one) and extracted the files there, then run custom game.... and nothing, nothing "bounces" back to the real character... help?

Hmm. Maybe you extracted it to your game directory instead of to the directory in Documents? It needs to be Documents/My Games/Titan Quest - Immortal Throne/CustomMaps/

Hello Argonil! Im seeing that Loot Plus XMAX FTW comes bundled with the A Few Bug Fixes mod. I havent managed to contact the author of the original mod so im making this request to you: If possible can you provide the source code for this mod? I wish to update it as a stand alone for Eternal Embers or maybe if you can put together an optional file of it on your mod page that would be also great. Thanks!

I don't have the files separated from this mod, and I've deleted and changed many of the files from it because some fixes were outdated or they conflicted with the other mod files. You'd be better off downloading A Few Bug Fixes from Steam and extracting the files yourself.

I see... Well i already have it but you see its a hard mod which directly modifies the main Database.arz and i dont know exactly what modifications are made to isolate them thats why i am looking for the source but what can you do it is what it is. Thanks for your time!

The Steam version isn't a hard mod.

OMG you are right i remember now that i followed the link to the TitanQuestFanSite and ive downloded the hard version from there without checking any further as i assumed the Steam version is a hard mod as well. I have it now thank you and sorry for the spam!
