NEW: I now have a Discord Server as an alternate place for support/feedback on my mods, and also for discussing furry mods in general.

This mod lets you easily and quickly add furry CC to sims to turn them into furries. You can either do this to individual sims manually, or automatically change all sims into furries. It can apply furry CC from several different mods, and has a variety of different furry species to choose from. It also has several settings to change how the furries are generated.

This mod is mainly intended to turn randomly generated townies into furries, but it can also be used to quickly furrify your own sims, quickly change existing furry sim's species or fur, or many other things. I recommend using my Furry Premade Sims mod to turn the game's premade sims into furries, as they are hand-made and generally higher quality than the furry sims this mod will make.

Features/Usage:
IMPORTANT: All the furrifier's interactions are considered cheats. You must run the command 'testingcheats on' and shift-click on a sim for them to appear. All the mod's interactions can be found under the 'Furrifier Menu' on all child and older sims.

The mod has 3 ways to turn sims into furries:
  • Manually: From the Furrifier Menu, the "Change Species" and "Change Disguise" (for aliens) interactions will let you quickly change any sim to a furry from a list of different species. If you don't like how they look, you can change their species again, use the 'Randomize Fur' interaction to randomize only some of their appearance, or make specific edits in CAS.
  • Automatically: If you turn on the automatic mode (using 'Toggle Automatic Mode' using the 'Settings' interaction in the menu), all non-furry sims will be turned into furries, and any newly created sims will also be turned into furries until automatic mode is turned off again. Be careful with this! Any sims you want to remain human or are using furry CC from unsupported sets will be automatically furrified as soon as you turn auto mode on! Before doing so, use the mod's 'Debug' option in the menu to either mark them as already being furries, or as being exempt from automatic furrification. It will also furrify any new non-furry sims you create or age up, so be careful! There's a setting that will protect your active household from this.
  • Commands: You can also manually furrify sims using commands. This doesn't require testing cheats to be on. Here's how the command works:
furrify - Changes the current sim to a random species
furrify [species] - Changes the current sim to the specified species
furrify [first name] [last name] - Changes the specified sim to a random species
furrify [species] [first name] [last name] - Changes the specified sim to the specified species

There are also a few other features, settings and debug options to customize how sims are furrified, including:
  • Re-generating a sim's fur pattern without re-generating their other furry parts
  • Deciding what furry CC sets to use
  • Changing what furry parts are used, including leg types, special furry hair, neck fluff, and eyebrows
  • Changing the colors of sims fur, preferring either natural or colorful tones
  • Optionally automatically removing parts that don't work well on furries, including hair, body hair, hats, shoes, etc
  • Updating all existing furry sims to match the preferences you set
  • Quickly and automatically fixing the eyelashes bug common with furry sims
  • Keeping the active household from being automatically furrified
  • Keeping sim's furry parts the same as they age up
  • Allowing children to use any fur patterns parents have (see Other Notes, below)

Advanced Usage:

For users who want more control over the randomization process, or want to make the mod compatible with unsupported furry CC, and can understand or learn JSON, there is an optional file called 'Custom Addons'. It contains instruction on how to make changes to the data file the mod draws from, allowing changes including changing how likely sims are to receive certain species, part, or colors, adding new species and parts, or removing existing ones.

If you make an interesting custom addon, I'd love to hear about it! I may want to add some of your change to the default file. You also have my permission to share it and post it wherever you want, no need to ask me. If it's SFW and I like it, I may also be willing to host it here as an alternative to my file.

Requirements and Compatibility:

Requires any game version past 1.105.297.1030 (Feb 27th 2024 Update)!

Required CC:

  - Savestate's Furry Mod: A basic set of furry parts and patterns. Allows sims aged teen and older to be turned into dogs, cats, lizards, and sharks.

Optional Supported CC:
These CC sets add extra options for the furrifier to use. They will be automatically detected, and you can see which sets you have installed in Settings > Manage CC.
  - Springroll's Natural and Sorbet Furry Recolors: Gives sims a much wider variety of fur colors they can have.
  - Cyangeom's Sims 4 Furry Mod - For Children, Toddlers, and Infants: Allows sims younger than teens to be turned into dogs, cats, lizards, and sharks.
  - Furry Mod Tails for Tailmod: Adds an option to use animated versions of SaveState's tails instead of the static ones

The following Supported CC sets contain NSFW content, or required sets that contain that content, but the NSFW content iteslf is not used or required by this mod and can be easily removed (18+ Only):
Spoiler:
Show

  - SoraFoxyTeils Furry CC: Gives a much larger variety of species sims can be and furry parts and patterns to use. Requires Springroll's Furry Recolors.
- Springroll's Halloween 2020 Pack: Allows sims to be turned into Unicorns and Antelope, and gives Dragon sims wings. No NSFW content, but requires SoraFoxyTeils Furry CC.
  • Only uses !gg_anthlope_horns.package, !gg_demonwings.package, !gg_devilhorns.package, !gg_flame_ears.package, !gg_unicorn_tail.package and !gg_unicornhorn1.package

  - Tomjj's Extra Furry Mods #1: Allows sims to be turned into pigs, boars, hippos, rhinos, elephants, and giraffes. No NSFW content, but requires SoraFoxyTeils Furry CC.

  - Berni's Collection: Adds a few new species and parts to use.
  • See this guide for removing the unused NSFW Content, if desired
  • Requires all SFW files except for Berni_fur_goat&roo.package and Werewolf 1.63.zip
  • Note: this mod does not handle any of the NSFW aspects of Berni's Collection, and as a SFW content creator, I will not be adding that functionality. However, I am willing to help another creator make an extension of this mod to handle that stuff. I'm not going to teach anyone how to make mods or how to integrate their stuff with WW, but I can help them expand this mod's functionality. Feel free to contact me if you're interested.

Partially Supported CC: These CC sets will not be used by this mod, but the mod will not automatically re-furrify sims using them. More compatibility can be added by creating an add-on (see advanced usage).
  - Leljas's Mods
  - Tomjj's Pokemon CC
  - CC using furry head parts from already supported CC sets

Unsupported CC: Sims using CC from these sets may be re-furrified if the furrifier is in automatic mode and they aren't marked as exempt, but they might be able to be made compatible using add-ons (see advanced usage).
  - Other CC with unique furry head parts
  - Any CC without any furry head parts

Additionally, if you have Simply Invisible Clothes, it unlocks an extra option to automatically remove sim clothes for fully PG/SFW furry 'nudity'.

You can find a list of all the furry CC I know about here, and some notes I've written about using them here.

Installation/Updating:
1. Download Savestate's Furry mod
  • Optionally, also any the Optional Supported CC listed above
2. Download the mod's file, unzip it and put the 2 files inside in your sims mod folder
  • There are 2 files, they are both important and must be kept together in the same folder
  • It includes a .ts4script file, which the game only checks for in your mod folder and its subfolders, not subfolders of those subfolders, so don't place the mod files more than 1 subfolder deep. Ex "The Sims 4/Mods/Sim Furrifier (containing the 2 mod files)" is fine, but not "The Sims 4/Mods/Furry/Sim Furrifier"
3. Make sure that "Enable Custom Content and Mods" and "Script Mods Allowed" are both checked in the 'Other' section of the game's settings
4. If updating, still download both files and delete the 2 you downloaded previously, but keep the automatically created furrifier_settings.cfg file in the same file to keep your settings.

Limitations:
  • Ugly Sims: All parts are applied randomly, and sometimes they won't match well. This is mostly an issue for colors, as they will often won't look very good. Please report any obviously mismatched parts though and I may be able to fix them. The mod generates logs when it furrifies a sim, so send it to me and I'll try to fix it.
  • Plant Sims: Plant Sims will briefly become normal sims in order to apply parts to them. This can lead to strange behaviors directly after they are furrified, such as needs or buff timers being reset.

Other Notes:
  • Unlock Child Fur Setting: This setting allows child sims to use any fur patterns the adult sims use. By default, these fur patterns will be removed when you open the child's family in CAS. To fix this, follow this guide.
  • Frame Restricted Heads: This setting partially fixes an issue with some of SoraFoxyTeil's heads, specifically the Dragon, Horse, Sergal, Dino, Canine/Fox, and Deer heads. Furry heads are restricted by the sim's body Frame to fix issues with seams, but these heads are mistakenly restircted by the sim's gender instead, so sims with body frames that don't match their gender will use the wrong heads. By default, the mod will respect this and give these sims the wrong heads, but you can turn this setting on to give them the correct heads. Note that unless you also fix the flags, the heads might not apply properly and can be randomly removed. To prevent this, you'll need to open each affected head in Sims 4 Studio, and go to categories -> Part Flags (at the bottom of the list), and make sure 'Restrict Opposite Gender' is unchecked and 'Restrict Opposite Frame' is checked.

Future Plans:
  • Improved randomization, especially for fur colors (suggestions welcome!)
  • Accounting for identical twins
  • Bug fixes
  • Randomization for Savestate muzzle shapes
  • Replacing sim's pants to digitigrade-compatible versions
  • Improved Plant Sims treatment
  • UI support for custom species
  • Anything else that users suggest!
