Mod works in Spacer's Choice Edition, but when you open the button layout in options it crashes the game xD, is there any chance that you could update this mod to be compatible with this version of the game? Keep it up!
Works perfect on Steam. You are a gem to have made this even though you don't need it yourself. Honestly I always look for one of these because it does twig my brain and I am excited on the rare moment I do find one.
Maybe? I tried to help another person get it working without success. But people have modded other game pass games but the folder paths are particular. Supposed to put it here -

You'd have to find it yourself..
Or you can try using the Steam path, apparently sometimes that works - %LocalAppData%\Indiana\Saved\Paks For any of those options, you might have to make the Paks folder. I'm sorry but I don't have this version so I can't test any of them myself.
Steam has made it ridiculously easy to use a variety of controllers on the PC, including the Switch controller. Just connect one wired or wirelessly through Bluetooth and Steam takes care of the rest. I could probably send some screenshots of the Switch port of Outer Worlds if it would help. Most of the menu textures are apparently 1080p.
I found a couple videos showing the game on switch so I have these buttons I have so far- d pad (only left and right but I can rotate the image lol) b y a x r trigger l stick l stick click l trigger zr - (minus)
So I think I'm missing r stick, r stick click, zl, +, home, and the little box button. I found a video showing these too but it's a camera aimed at their switch so they're crooked. I can attempt to make those myself (shouldn't be too hard to just swap the letters around) but none of what I watched showed what the home, +, or box buttons are used for or what they should look like exactly. One of them must be pause? edit: someone kindly sent me a screenshot of the controls menu from the switch. I'm assuming it's correct so I'm gonna go ahead and make it, I think I have all I need.
One thing to keep in mind is that you might have to make 2 different versions of the mod; one that has the ABXY buttons in a traditional layout, and one that has the ABXY in a Nintendo layout. It's a bit confusing, but Nintendo likes to have their buttons in a different layout compared to Microsoft. Or is it the other way around?
Also, I forgot to ask, where can I send the screenshots? I have a handful showing off various parts of the HUD. I've been a bit busy recently and I haven't had a whole lot of time to play on my Switch.
Hm. I was going to do like the switch controls show. As I said, someone sent me a few pictures from the settings -
I was going to use this to line up what texture for what button, comparing it to the xbox controls. ?They gave me pictures of the other layout options here. Comparing them to the xbox layouts, I think I see what you mean. Standard has A is jump for both xbox and switch. But modern layout has X is jump for xbox and Y is jump for switch.
I wish I had a controller so I could just pop in the new icons and see what happens lol. How about I make the standard layout and if all the buttons line up, I'll do the others.
For screenshots, you could just put them in a google drive. Or imgur or some other image host I suppose.
