THIS WORKS at this time Spacer's Choice (Epic April 9 2024) ! Used the download link provided in GOONz87 post
This is how Ensure game is STARTED at Supernova Level (NOT at any other difficulty or likely will NOT work)) Usually there is an autosave once the pod is landed and starts the player control of the character QUIT Add the patch files in the location
Open that save Exit pod Jump over log a hit ESC and do a manual save, you SHOULD be able to now (Normal SuperNova will not allow it) The Food Drink and sleep bar is there so you now have to be mindful, at times may have to purchase and if you move slufgishly cannot jump the planks to the balcony or whatever, GET SOME SLEEP
--Can Save where I want --sleep in a random bed --Fast travel --No companion permadeath
THIS is the game I was looking for, !!!the level between hard and SuperNova!!!
Just wanted to add here, for Steam, if you purchased Outer Worlds and then purchased the Upgrade to Spacer Edition, you need to use the original Outer Worlds SuperNova patch, not the Spacer edition. At least this is true at the time of this post and the only way I could get it to work. Hope this helps anyone that did the same.
I got it working, install by copying winhttp.dll and overrides.ini into the TheOuterWorlds/Indiana/Binaries/Win64 directory, then add this line to Launch Options: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp.dll=n,b" %command%
If you are playing on the original Outer Worlds then use this one Supernova Patch For Original Outer Worlds download it, extract it and inside of TheOuterWorlds folder I provided copy/paste the Indiana folder to the inside of your TheOuterWorlds game folder.
If you are playing on the new Spacer's Choice Edition, then use this one Supernova Patch Updated for Spacer's Choice Edition Same install instructions as above, I updated this when Spacers Choice launched and since then there has been 2 game updates and as of the 4-12-23 update this update to the Supernova Patch is still working just fine, I did not check it in Hex Editor, but I did start a new game and I tested every feature of the mod and everything works as intended.
@lawlcatzlol The files I provided above are up to date and work fine for the current game versions, if you are running an older version of the game or a pirated cracked executable then it will not work.
And I know it works because I play the game with it and when I play my companions do not die on supernova, I can save anywhere, I can sleep in any bed, and I can fast travel anywhere.
it seems the overrides.ini on the file you shared has iDifficulty set to -3 instead of 3 as per instructions in the original post. probably why people are saying it isn't working but im gonna have to test it out rn
Does this work with the version 1.5.1.696? I use the epic launcher for my game and I have the two DLCs (which I learned are what put my game version to this one) My difficulty is stuck on hard mode and I did have Supernova on my save before. I used the files from the mod author here first and things seemed to work but once my follower died I then found your post. So I am using your files, leaving the setting to -3 doesn't change my difficulty, I've saved the game after loading it up to see if it updates.
Any advice? I will stick with hard mode if necessary but I liked the survival aspect of supernova. Thanks for your time.
nisafei it should work fine. ive playing with the Goonz87 update and works like a charm. im not sure if its something from 'goonz87' update, but the 'bullet time' is a little cheated imo.. u have 120seg from the begining of the game
can the updated patch for spacer's choice still work even though i started the game on normal mode? i wanted the survival aspects of supernova (eating drinking and sleeping) without the restriction on saves or fast travel so i was gonna pair it with the easier supernova combat mod
@darkpaw1 This cannot be posted to Nexus by anyone other then the author Expired6978, this mod has closed permissions, so reposting it would be against the Nexus Rules and would be considered mod theft and my Nexus account would get ban, but people can continue to get it here from the comment section, my google drive links will always be valid and Expired6978 is free to look these over and use them as an official update if he wants
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, have installed this to the correct path, have tried both downloads linked by Goonz and they still don't work. Have loaded into my save, made a new save with files in the correct location, loaded said save, and still nothing. Do these no longer work with the current updated version? Is there an alternative?
Was my own fault, somewhere over the years I've completely messed up the install folder and have multiple "Outerworlds folders" finally found the correct one and the mod linked by Goonz works perfectly.
Here is an update of this mod for the Spacer's Choice Edition, download it, extract it and inside of The Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice folder I provided copy/paste the Indiana folder to the inside of your The Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice game folder.
All credits to bythetwinmoons for identifying what needed to be replaced, give him a kudos!
Thanks, I guess, but I can't seem to get the file using your method. Could you use a simpler downloader, if you please? Note: It get's infinitely stuck in send mail. Edit: NM, finally got it!
I am happy to find this mod. I love Hardcore like mods, such as the one in Fallout: New Vegas. But not being allowed to do certain things is kinda ridicilous.
Hi, guys! Developer, thanks for your tweak. Vanilla “if you broken leg before bringin’ on spaceBattery to your ship - you die” turns into “hey, bro! Just take a nap anywhere and stay cool”.

You've redeemed Supernova difficulty because being unable to quicksave or fast travel is a total chore, thanks Goonz87! Kudos!
MUST start game from SuperNova!
