Just a heads up, this mod make it impossible to get the Pirate-Poet / finish the Merciless Modiste's questline. So when you're about to fight the Alcaeus-Class Corvette, quit the game and move the addon's folder or its "encyclopaedia" subfolder out of the installation folder. Do the fight, park somewhere safe or save manually, quit again, and put the folder back in.
Bit tedious, especially for subsequent kills, but I've not yet figured out what to edit in the file to make it work with the story.
Found the fix! I think your mod treated the ship as any other generic ship, so we only got the "Loot & scuttle her" event, and not anything relating to the Pirate-Poet.
I edited the IDs in lines 1331 and 1332 (values for "Corvette") in both "SpawnedEntities.json" and "SpawnedEntities_import.json", so now they say:"PacifyEventId": 192726, "KillQualityEventId": 192726, And it works! I not only finished the story, but can now farm the poor ship every time I see it XD
Hello there, I downloaded Easier Mod Zubmariner v2-1-2, thank you for your work. Hunger, food and terror indeed do not increase naturally, enemies on the surface do not engage in battles unless provoked. However, their health numbers are default (cannot kill them with one hit), and enemies under the waves are actively hostile (this mod seemingly doesn't work on Zubmariner foes, everything about them is default). Can there be done somehing about it? P.S. I like how hunger and terror can still be increased through events and dialogues.
Sorry for the late reply. I don't check here very often, so I don't notice replies until it's way too late.
I haven't played in years, but I do vaguely remember undersea beasts not being effected by the changes I made. Looking back through the mod it seems that some of zubmariner's critters inexplicably have not been altered at all. Not sure if I missed the or had some reason to leave them unchanged. I did intentionally not change most of the boss enemies, but there seem to be many that are not bosses that are still unchanged.
It's been 3 years, but I finally got around to it. I made a new version that keeps hunger and fuel. However terror has not been added back, but it's easy enough to go into the text files themselves and set terror to whatever you want. I can give you the lines and default values for terror if you want. Just hollar.
Hey there, any chance you could give me the values I need to edit to make ship go faster? Your changes are a little too drastic for me^^ I've compared the file of your mod with the original file, and found no differences in the values that sound like the influence ship speed.
I know I'm kinda late, but how did you change the turn speed? The base game doesn't seem to have a way to change it and my cheating ship with 99999x engine efficiency needs to turn a bit faster :p
I know, I suck at video games in general. It seemed that no matter what I tried, I could never get very far in Sunless Sea before terror overtook my crew. I just made this for people looking to tone the game's realisim down a bit.
Thanks for this. I found the game a remarkably unfun slog when I tried to play it before. I could never really venture out too far before everything just collapsed. :< The writing's good, but the gameplay .. not so much. But I actually have been having fun playing it since. ^^
Glad to hear it! As you can imagine, I had a very similar experience. It was always terror that whacked me about an hour or two in. I'm really only in it for the stories.
I also use it on steam and as far as I'm concerned, you just need to extract the file after downloading it manually and put it where you normally put sunless sea mods. Then again I don't use steam workshop so I have no idea how it works.

What exactly happens that makes it impossible? I believe I tried to avoid editing unique/boss enemies, but I may have screwed up a couple.

I'll look into making a revision soon. Thank you.
Edit: I found it. Its "BaseShipTurningSpeed". Not too sure how you missed it before.
