I decided to try mix and matching .optoctree files between different Subnautica versions and I had an idea. A wicked idea. Here, are the fruits of my idea. Refined with Reef Editor a bit. HOW TO INSTALL: You need to have Terrain Patcher installed in order to use the .optoctreepatch file which is the patch that connects the hell hole with the inactive lava zone. Download and install Terrain Patcher here -> Releases · Esper89/Subnautica-TerrainPatcher (github.com). You will also need to have Bepinex and Nautilus installed for it to work. After you complete those steps extract the Provided .zip file. It should contain a .optoctreepatch file and a folder with .optoctree files. Place the .optoctreepatch file in the Terrain Patcher\Patches directory and then, move the folder containing the .optoctree files to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Subnautica\Subnautica_Data\StreamingAssets\SNUnmanagedData\Build18 and select "Replace All". WARNING!!! MAKE A BACKUP OF THE ORIGINAL "CompiledOctreesCache" FOLDER SOMEWHERE BEFORE PASTING THE FOLDER AS IT WILL OVERRIDE SOME OF THE ORIGINAL MAP FILES.
