Works as with BepInEx as with Legacy. Do not use Vortex. The problem with map being gray is because of Vortex's deployment. If you just put this mod into folder manually it will work without any additional actions
Should be like this: Folder: BepInEx/plugins/SubnauticaMap/maps/DetailedMap OR qMods/SubnauticaMap/maps/DetailedMap
Se trabajará en algún tipo de mapas que sean precisos con los mods : Return of the ancient , De:extinction, the bloop and blaza the silence y red plage
I am having issue with maps not showing in game. I have installed Bepinex and the maps as it is stated in the description File: steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica\BepInEx\plugins\SubnauticaMap\maps\DetailedMap from what I read BepInEx is working if a LogOutput file is generated in the BepInEx folder and yes this file is being created.
Not sure whats going wrong any sugestions would be welcome
Update: I got it to work. there is a separate mod called "map" which is needed to run this map
so the instuctions on installing this are pretty confusing. it says the zip should be unpacked inside the plugins folder.
if you're using BepInEx then unpack files into: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Subnautica\BepInEx\plugins\
so once you do that this is what you get all the way up until you reach the detailed map images. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica\BepInEx\plugins\detailedmap-165-2-2-1684438461\SubnauticaMap\maps\DetailedMap which doesnt align with the instructions that say (Should be like this: Folder:BepInEx/plugins/SubnauticaMap/maps/DetailedMap) The only way to make it align with the instuctions is by going into the BepInEx\plugins\detailedmap-165-2-2-1684438461\SubnauticaMap\maps\DetailedMap and taking out the DetailedMap with the images and dropping them into the BepInEx/plugins/SubnauticaMap/maps/. Im so confused rn can someone explain whats going wrong here?
Solved the issue by not replacing the dll files already in the SubnauticaMapMod for this one and deleting the "example" folder from the SubnauticaMap mod
Hi! Check out Installation section at mod description, I believe you have wrong path for my mod. Upload here your "DetailedMap" folder screenshot including full path (from Windows Explorer for example).
IF ANYONE ELSE HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE MAP BEING GRAY, I DID TOO AND HERE'S HOW I FIXED IT.
It should be noted that I got this to work by downloading it manually.
First, I used Vortex to "purge my mods". They aren't deleted, but they do not load with the game in this state. I ran the game stock, without mods for a minute or two. I added all my mods back in and made sure Detailed Map was NOT in the mod folder or in vortex. The map mod worked as expected, and so did everything else.
Next, there are two installations of "Maps" on your device, if you're using Steam. One of them is on your user, and one is through the game installation. We want the one with the game installation. To get there, right click on Subnautica in the Steam Library, hover your mouse over local files, and click "Browse local files".
This will open file explorer to Subnautica's install location, assuming you're using a Windows operating system like I am. When its open, go through the BepinEx folder, then the plugins folder, Subnauticamap, and maps. Inside the maps folder is where you want to put the "Detailedmap" folder from the download link. Once it's in, deploy your mods using Vortex, and launch. If it doesn't work, keep testing. Patience and determination will sort it out eventually. Good luck!
Hi! Thanks for so detailed guide. I checked this out and found out that the problem with map being gray is because of Vortex's deployment. If you just put this mod into folder manually it will work without any additional actions
