About this mod

RuntimeUnityEditor modification, designed to be the ultimate tool for Subnautica modding.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Subnautica-compatible version of the original RuntimeUnityEditor. Yes, this is a mod of a mod.

Installation (Automatic)

You can use the Mod Manager to automatically install mods. If you decide to use it, simply place the
downloaded file into the ModDownloads folder and press Install in the
in-game mod menu.

You can also use Vortex to automatically install this mod.

Installation (Manual)

  • If you haven’t already, download and install the Subnautica BepInEx Pack.
  • Download the latest version of this mod.
  • Place the downloaded zip file into your Subnautica\BepInEx folder.
  • Right click the zip file and select extract --> unzip here (NOT "Extract all").
If you can’t find that button, you can instead open the zip file, copy
the "plugins" folder, and paste it into the BepInEx folder.

By default, you can open the menu with F7. If you have Unity knowledge, everything should be self-explanatory enough.

Features/changes compared to the ancient version we used in the past:
  • Material editor upgraded (still based on Waisie's implementation!)
  • So many more material properties are shown now!
  • Property pinning
  • Textures shown in object tree
  • Searching for components
  • Subnautica-themed styling!!!
  • REPL console improvements
  • The menu is actually navigable in Subnautica again. No more mouse flickering. The mouse used to just decide to delete itself out of existence...
  • You can now save textures directly from Runtime
  • Property pinning
  • A lot more but I lost the old mod page description tbh
