Ok, I manually install my mods (I like to know where I'm putting stuff). I've installed qMods (legacy)
I do this: Steam>steamapps>common>subnautica>Bepinex>plugins>QModManager
When I extract it, I extract it to the qModManager folder. I did this for maps and maps works just fine in game.
However, I'm not seeing the extra slots in game with this mod installed. It doesn't show up in Mods in a game I launch either. What am I not doing correctly?
Version 1.1.1 is working with Legacy. However, it's not working with Nitrox. With Nitrox, you can use Quick Slots Plus in combination with SMLHelper, there are legacy versions for both.
I've encountered the hotkey flickering bug, where an item keeps being equipped and unequipped rapidly. It seems to occur when I load a world twice in a single session (e.g. to reload after a bug or whatever). I don't think it's happened when I just load my game and play uninterrupted. My uneducated guess is that something's not being cleared properly when you quit to the menu, then another one gets initialized and conflicts with the first.
same here... it is quite annoying... although for me it is only the slots above 3 that does it...
after restarting the game it was fixed... but somehow i now have items in my inventory that i know i did put in a locker before i exited... so it basically duplicated the stuff i put in the locker into my inventory so now i have 2x more materials.... hmm not sure that it was because of this mod though.. it could also be the CustomizedStorage mod as well... only thing ik is that something is not right with one of the mods...
Same happening to me, but I didnt reloaded a savegame. Just testing stuff in creative mode, I created moon pool, some fundations... and for no reason, when I re-equiped the builder started this bug, with ALL my tools on any slot. So weird.
I actually fixed this in the BelowZero quickslots mod last year. I sent the fix to this package too but the author never read the message and his code isn't on github. Basically what's going on is there's a class variable that holds the "slot names" and it's a fixed size (less than 12). So the mod replaces it with a size 12 array, but it gets unloaded sometimes and then you get flickering. I'll try forking this version and see if it works in original Subnautica, I can get the basic slots working but I don't know about hotkey labels and controller support
Had exact same as @jesper987654 where it was only slots past the 3rd where it happened. Not sure why. It happened after reloading a save bc I died to an ampeel that hit me through a wall so I reloaded, and then suddenly this happened. Same thing as them also happened where things I know for a fact I had put out of my inventory after the glitch appeared. It wasn't even just things I had put in storage, it was also food and water I had consumed.
For those passing by, the mod " Quickslotplus" is the right alternative for this mod now. It has more options, is up to date and resolve the know bugs of this mod. Check it out !
Glad to see that I am not the only one having issues I guess this mod is broken. I havent played the game in awhile and came back to it recently only to discover that none of my mods were working and realized that Q Mod Manager was updated. Thought this mod was maybe not working because of the update. That sucks. I like having my extra slots :(

I load once, play for a bit, and the tools will just start equipping and unequipping fast as heck.
Mod's broken and author has abandoned it. Nothing anyone can do unless some kind mod author makes another one.
