when will this be useable with nautilus? i am trying to use these as i would really like to, but as it is with the accelerated start updated it requires sml helper and since it is no longer being updated i am not able to use it. i would really like to be able to and was wondering if there was any word on getting it updated to work for the newer things like nautilus
Second the request for Nautilus. It is a good mod and I use it often.
SML Helper and Nautilus are not always compatible. Some mods will not work if SML helper is still installed. I'm currently going through my mod list to decide which ones I am going to disable until updated.
Sadly, no, SML breaks quite a few mods from my modlist. This mod and the Cyclops docking mod are the only two SML mods i still used, but sadly i have to let these two go.
Nautilus still supports SMLHelper, you can install both. It's just that modders shouldn't make any new mods with SMLHelper.
Both Nautilus and SMLHelper state that they don't work together. The mods state this in big red letters on the mod page:
⚠️ Nautilus is only supported on the latest version of Subnautica. If you're playing on the Legacy branch of Steam, use SMLHelper instead.
As of Nautilus 1.0.0-pre.22, Nautilus is NO LONGER COMPATIBLE with SMLHelper. Do not use both at the same time!
SMLHelper has been deprecated and will no longer receive updates. Use Nautilus if making mods for Subnautica 2.0
While there is currently version 2.15.0.1 for Subnautica 2.0, it will be Removed when Nautilus is released fully as they WILL NOT work together.
This clearly states that mods for Subnautica 2.0 need to be updated to use Nautilus, but many modders have seemingly abandoned their mods for 2.0 at this point. Asking for updates is pointless.
