I can basically make an equipment that drains your HP or reduce your attack or reduce <Insert anything here>.
There's also conditioning equipment in game that change the value depending on HP(<50% or >50%) and is used to change damage values. I don't know for now if I can change that but will try
Thanks for the reply!! I wonder if something could be done that using Burst or Beta attacks will consume HP instead of their respective gauges. Big trick would be to make it so that your own attack can't kill you, I guess. But reductions to damage, melee, ranged and just attack are something that interest me a lot.
Eve gets VERY overpowered on NG+, and turning on hard doesn't super help with that after a certain point. Seeing as there are new outfits into even NG++, would be nice to have a way to bring player level down.
...Something else that I'm wondering: Can you also make Exospines? Because since those can be leveled up, something like a "challenge exospine" that decreases attack could be upgraded if the player so wishes, thus giving more (or less) of a stat decrease. Could be interesting? -10% at level 1. not enough? upgrade and it goes to -20%. or something like that.
It can, but it is not in the current scope of this project because what you want is not directly tied to the character stats. I'll expand on that when I'll have time
Don't expect a noob making a mod for the first time adding entirely new mechanics 😭
But don't worry 'cause there's already a DOT feature in the game. I can't promise you elemental features, but can make you a custom DOT equipment in the near future ;)
EDIT: It seems like that elements can be applied in-game, so you might be able to get what you want ;)
Thanks for considering my idea! I also hoped that there would be additional sockets for weapons (maybe extra 4 equipable gears on weapon, maybe only at 50% stats nerf to keep the game balanced and not too easy ) but that probably is too hard to implement
for people who already finished two run of NG+ and just want a clean new game with "god power" would be good option. maybe it can combine two effect for one gear etc
because three stars OG still better than one star Mk2, there are many mods who improved mk2. The point of grinding made it boring for NG+ (from my opinion tho)
for the start could you make all the gear and exo available early at the shop? then might be the upgraded version could be added
This mod doesn't change the condition to unlock certain gear from the vendor (for example there's a basic condition that checks the current world phase to unlock new gear at the vendors, or even check (in case of MK2 equipments) that the previous version equipment were first bought before unlocking the new equipment)
I'm already working on equipments that combines 2 even 3 effect with a malus ( meaning up to 4 effect on the same equipment ! ).
I know that you said you want everything unlock from the start in NG+, but will you want new unlockable equipments tied to quest reward or boss kills ? Because there's a way to modified rewards.
It would be nice to be compatible with almost all clothing mods, as well as most combat mods (referring to the optional file shortened by the 633 scan CD) and the 520 better MK2. This will give players more options.

Here is a thought: For challenge runs: Could you add gear that detract stats? Like... -5% attack?
...Oh, I have "Better Gear and Exospine Equipment" installed... I wonder if there is a conflict? Will report back.
EDIT: Yes, it does clash with that mod and seems to overwrite it. Damn. I'll keep an eye on this... But right now that one is too valuable to lose...

Elemental Normal/power Attacks (Fire/Thunder/Ice D.O.T damage)
But don't worry 'cause there's already a DOT feature in the game. I can't promise you elemental features, but can make you a custom DOT equipment in the near future ;)
