The Outfit Manager released with a bug that doesn't show mods (currently only the Troopers mod), a patch has been uploaded that should fix it, also note that UE4SS comes with it as the method of loading it for now and resultingly might not work with users who installed through the EA app and might also cause performance issues, we will try to address all of this ASAP, so please be patient for now. If you are weary, wait until we have ensured everything is fixed before installing.
If any EA app or Play users are seeing an error about unable to write, in the debug window that comes up then it's a permissions error. You will need to take ownership of the EA Games root folder and give your user account modify/write permissions on that folder and apply changes to child objects. If it is still missing some files if you pop over to the modding discord I manually made some of the files that permissions did not allow the mod to create and this fixed it for myself on EA App and some others using EA Play sub and they just drop into the Win64 folder that has the games exe. Most people have had to do both after I worked this out.
If anyone is still facing the same issue and after following all instructions from UE4SS Error and all other methods suggested by everyon else did not fixed it for you, then please do the below steps (Still advised to follow the the UE4SS Error first):
What you need to do is Right click the Jedi Survivor folder, Properties > General section and untick the "Attributes: Read-Only" of the Jedi Survivor folder, apply and ok it, then Open the game and the K function will work correctly this time.
The Read only tick will again be autoticked after closing the game once but the K function will work afterwords anyways.
I have followed everything correctly, did the UE4SS error even when not having it, unticked the read only and K still does not do anything. Im just stuck. and have officially given up after troubleshooting for 2 hours
Hey, has there been any progress on the EA version not showing mods? Checked the Trello with nothing on there about it. With the game accessible via Game Pass, I'm sure people would love to use these mods. Thanks!
it would be cool to add voices to outfit manager so we can switch between them in game, dunno how that would work but would be quite cool, like having a mask cal voice on one saved preset and non mask voice on another.
Game opens a crash report or sometimes none at all aside from a dump file with the mod installed. Tried using both the included UESS, and the latest edition on github and Jedi Survivor configs. I think it's time for the author to update the mod.
Will this mod store your Lightsaber parts combination? I find it so annoying that they didn't include saving presets for this, or even a cosmetic loadout where you can store your outfit picks.
For anyone struggling with Steam Deck or Linux, I got it to work by installing a Microsoft application of xinput to my wine prefix utilizing proton tricks. This lets you use the manager at the cost of controller input. (At least the Xbox controller I used, but I am unsure about Steam Deck). To fix this issue just edit the wine config and add another copy of xinput into the override with a different load order on top of the one you just installed (The one installed earlier will be denoted with a *). Don't ask me why this works but it does. I will update the post if I encounter any crashes or other issues. -TOP OF LIST- *xinput1_3 (native, builtin) -Note: This is needed for the outfit manager to work. Must use native Windows. -BOTTOM OF LIST- xinput1_3 (builtin, native) -Note: This seems to enable to wine controller passthrough that is lost with native?
Quirks: Doesnt immediately work with a new game, but if you save and load it will kick in.
For like 3 months I’ve been trying to figure it out but you my friend did the impossible because no one could ever give me a response thank you so much 🙏🏽🙌🏽
