You installed a logic mod that requires UE4SS (like Outfit Manager) and you did everything correctly, but when launching the game you get this error:
What you need to do is give yourself permission to the Jedi Survivor folder and add the missing files so the mod loader can write on them.
1 - Find your Jedi Survivor game folder
2 - Right click the folder and open Properties
3 - In the Security tab, click Advanced
4 - On the next window, click Add
5 - Click Select a principal
6 - Enter your windows user name
6.1 - Click Check Names, the name of your computer will appear before your user name.
6.2 - Click Ok
7 - Enable Modify (or Full Control) and "Only apply..." checkboxes and click Ok
8 - Enable the "Replace all child object..." checkbox.
9 - Click Apply and say Yes to the pop-up
10 - Download this zip file (found in the file tab of this mod page)
11 - Move the contents of the zip's Win64 folder to the game's /Jedi Survivor/SwGame/Binaries/Win64/ folder
12 - Launch the game
UE4SS Error: Tried opening file for writing but encountered an error.

Playing on EA; app is downloaded on C:\ and game is installed on an external drive. My problem occurs during Step 8. I have been added with full control of the folder (with subs and files), as well as the external as well. However, when applying the "Replace all child objects" checkbox and saying yes to the pop-up, the check box automatically is unapplied again.
Following the steps for the EA process, under the game folder's General Properties, I uncheck the read-only box, click Apply, and then Okay. However, right after, to double-check it stuck, the "read-only" is rechecked again.
Any thoughts? Thanks!
is there a tutorial for Steamdeck support? Thank you and thanks for all the hard work. This is an amazing utility.
What you need to do is Right click the Jedi Survivor folder, Properties > General section and untick the "Attributes: Read-Only" of the Jedi Survivor folder, apply and ok it, then Open the game and the K function will work correctly this time.
The Read only tick will again be autoticked after closing the game once but the K function will work afterwords anyways.
I am on the EA app, but apparently that shouldn't matter, some says.
