Can you explain how you installed the mod? I am trying to install it to the Steam version and the mod description on this page doesnt explain everything so intuitively. Please let me know
Hey man, you're an asshole for this comment, like truly lol. If you can take that objectively and not like someone yelling at your from across the table. first 5 videos literally show you what the text discription on the mods themselves say, ergo - no, a simple youtube search does not show you the intricacies lol
Hey man, you're an a**hole for this comment, like truly lol. If you can take that objectively and not like someone yelling at your from across the table. What are the ''intricacies''' you're talking about? If you just say there are intricacies, but you don't mention what they are or how to solve them, what is the point of YOUR comment?
I've been playing this game with just this mod, and it looks great overall. The grass pops in just a few feet in front of me tho, the view distance should be way farther if possible.
But did this mod alter the AI ? It seems way worse than I remember from just 2-3 years ago. Like you can be in battle with multiple STers, but people a dozen feet away won't even notice, sometimes even when they are looking at you.
I'm playing on Jedi Master, I'm sure the common soldiers with guns used to be more alert, and everyone around would be attacking. In the 1st few missions, in a few places, I'll come up on a line of soldiers, and they should all notice me killing them 1 at a time with a lightsabre, instead they don't even turn around.
Great Mod Really works it's magic with the old textures, Really glad I've come back to this gem of a game now. I did, however find a mod conflict. I have been running JKA with OpenJK, and Jedi Academy 2019 Edition - 4k Textures, as well as some other texture and species mods (Using Jedi Wookie, and wookie lines no problem).
My problem is that the Jedi Academy 2019 Edition - 4k Textures, installed in Documents/My Games/Open JK/base, along with other mods that are working, aren't loading in my game after installing two controller support mods. Jedi Academy Full Controller Support and More and Jedi Outcast & Jedi Academy Xinput Full Controller Gamepad Support Mod . For some reason after installing these mods, the Jedi Academy 2019 Edition - 4k Textures will no longer load, eventhough the other .pk3's are loading, as well as the autoexec_sp.cfg I have in the same location. Any ideas? Great mod! Thanks for all the hard work!
Update: Tried to move the pk3 4k texture files to my actual gamedata/base folder to no avail. The console also says that the 4k texture pk3 files are being loaded, but then don't work their magic. Have reverted to my backup, before installing these mods, 4k texture files are working correctly again. Will be double checking later if theywill load with just the Xinput mod installed. I tested it quickly the first time, but was in an open area so am unsure if the files were activated or not.
These look like modest improvements (expected, there's only so much that an upscaling AI can do with textures from 2003), 4K feels like a bit overkill.
To everyone asking about steam installation, it's the same as on a non-steam copy. Go to the game directory, which you can access from steam by clicking into properties, then clicking the browse button in the local files tab. Once you're there, just drop the file into the folder indicated on the mod page.
How you install this mode on Steam version of game? There is no guide at all. And to user Tayst, this is very stupid respond, if you canĀ“t link a video, because guess what I tried for an hour to look for some as you say easy guide, but found nothing usefull..
Couldn't finish the download because Nexus server times out at around 80% download. Can someone plz reupload to a different website that has its sh*t together.

I try to run this with Jedi Acedemy Enhanced, also tried the other big texture mod - doesnt seem to work together :(

Sorry for the confusion.
