Caveats
I play-tested the mod and didn't find anything outrageous but there are some caveats you might want to consider
1. These are really big textures for an old game, so your load times will increase significantly.
e.g. it takes about two and a half minute to load Coruscant on SSD.
Fortunately this only affects loading an area for the first time during a game session. Re-loading a save game should be fast.
2. I'm not an artist. I didn't clean up or alter any of these textures. The good news is that they came up mostly OK.
3. The tool I used didn't re-apply original transparency to upscaled textures, which made them appear wrong in the game. As a workaround I excluded PNG files from the mod. This means that there will be some low-res items in the game.
4. These are only textures. Models, animations and other assets remain as they were.
How to get the game looking like the screenshots
1. Install OpenJK https://github.com/JACoders/OpenJK
Adjust in-game video settings to enable all the new bells and whistles, like dynamic lights.
2. Apply Reshade - it's an ENB-like post-processing injector.
