I dont know what quite happened, but on boot up the loading screen (lucasfilm, ea) is squished to a portrait format and in game quiality seems to have worsened (significantly, ive just removed it and its quite noticeable). 🤷‍♂️

      i noticed exactly the same.
      squished startup loading screens
      worse image quality
also some UI issues (availiable skill points is doubled and is kind of flashing).

it's a real pity, because otherwise this mod really improves on traversal stutter.

Hi! Mod works great! However, I encountered an issue where if the game displays a hint (door opens from the other side, for example), the game will always be stuck on that hint and won't display other hints properly. Anyone else?

So glad to hear you'll be revisiting Ultra+ for Survivor again. Not so glad to hear about your gpu dying, though. Sucks. :(

    Hello!

Unfortunately I cannot get it to work.
    I get the following error:

So far I have tried deleting the shader cache,  GameUserSettings.ini, removing all other mods and starting without this mod. I did not reinstall my GPU driver yet.
The only way I managed to actually play the game was by removing the mod.

hiya. could you please download the Source file (in files) and run the clear-shader-caches_jedi-FO.bat and let me know how you go?

Unfortunately it did not work. The only difference is that now I get a glimpse of the EA logo, so it crashes a few seconds later, but the error is exactly the same.
I even had to boot into safe mode in order for the .bat to to completely delete nvidia the shader cache.

However, I should mention that on the first start of the game after clearing the cache (I cannot reproduce the issue atm), the game instantly crashes and gives another error I cannot seem to find in the crash logs. On the next start up I get the error specified in the post.

      Nvidia RTX 4070.
Should I try a complete reinstall of the driver? I'm honestly not in the mood for it, but if you believe it could work, I will try it.

Working fine until today, I can't launch the game with this mod installed, updating to v2.4 doesn't fix the issue.

@dabrokepope Steam shader cache dir is empty, maybe because I'm using AMD GPU. I got it solved by manually deleting shader cache in %LocalAppData%\SwGame\Saved\

@sammilucia IMO `clear-shader-caches_jedi-FO.bat` should continue on error to make it GPU agnostic

It is a pretty nice mod overall, it does bug out lighting in certain places for certain camera angles for me tho, especially on Kashyyyk :x really takes you out when suddenly everything lights up like someone turned on the floodlights :D

I'm getting the same thing as leont07. Their screenshots do a good job of showcasing the issue. I've only really observed it on Kashyyk, possibly on Zeffo as well, but it was harder to tell in the location I was in. I have all my graphics settings on epic.

There may be more lighting issues. For me, direct sunlight turns all skin textures pure white where the light hits, this included Cere and Greez.

      heya, please go to:
      %AppDataLocal%\SwGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
      ... and delete GameUserSettings.ini.

it sounds like your game settings are messed up (it's not a problem with the mod)

yes, I've uploaded the source files for v2.0 so you can make your own. In WindowsEngine.ini look for "sharpen" and have a play 😊

have a look in optional files, it's in the "source" download. search for Windows engine.ini, then search that file for "sharpen"

you can change that line, then run the create_Ultra+.bat, and you will have your own custom version of the mod 😊

    Hi, thanks for your work!

I'm eager to try it out, but unfortunately it seems to cause the game to crash on my end. With the pak file in place, when launching the game, it quickly crashes and show the Unreal Engine crash reporter with the message:

LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 4695] Missing global shader FMoveWholeIndirectionTextureCS's permutation 0, Please make sure cooking was successful.
Since it seems that other people here were successfully making it work, I tried removing my other mods, repairing the game files, restarting the PC, using an older version of your mod, but same thing.

Any idea what could cause that?

hmm, it's trying to compile a shader that it's expecting the devs to have pre-cooked (hint: they didn't)

what's weird as you say is that it's working for others.

are you running through DXVK? if so just run normally so it can use DirectX 11?

What is the DXVK? So I can try to change to Dx11.

hi, it's now fully compatible with DXVK and should improve it too.

make sure you copy d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll to the Win64 folder if you use it. it's a little smoother than DX11, but not by much  I haven't bothered to use it but will test on Linux soon.
