I've been gone for quite a while but i'm working on an updated version of this mod. It might take a few more months before it is done. Everything in this mod will be redone and it will add more skins that will be selectable when you're using Improved Battle Droids together with Battlefront plus. Additionally every droid reinforcement that I've worked on that's in Battlefront Plus will also get updated visually.

I've seen a lot of confusion even while the mod has descriptions on the files in Frosty so I'll write a list: The Images on the modpage show the appearances in order of what they replace, showing first the default and then the special addons.
Base Classes: The Base addon just upgrades the appearances that are already in the game. The B1V-TX Replaces all the B1 droids with a single appearance. Due to how it functions it can't be used with the B2 Enforcer addons. The B1-RP replaces the Heavy Geonosis appearance. Enforcer Class: The B2 Emissive, B2HA, B2G, B2G-R, and the Aqua Droid all replace the B2 Enforcer. Only use one of them. The Droideka Advanced addon replaces the Droideka. The Droideka Advanced (B2 Compatibility) addon is meant to be used only when you want to use this skin together with a B2 Enforcer addon.
Aerial Class: The B2-RT and B1A replace the B2 Aerial. Only use one of them.
Inflitrator Class: The BX addon replaces the BX Infiltrator with our own idea of a live action version, this was made a separate file for the sake of user preference. The Magnaguard addon replaces the BX Infiltrator. There is an Electropike addon that can replace their default Electrostaff with another version. The EG-5 addon replaces the BX infiltrator. It comes by default with a lightsaber replacing the Vibrosword.
THE MOD IS MP SAFE!
If your game doesn't launch you might be using too many mods at the same time. This varies from user to user. This is not something mod authors can fix.
Not sure what happen but the mod seems to make the droid look like they’re melted, i don’t have any mods that involves around the battle droids, maybe it’s instant action XL??
Load order is:
Instant action ovehaul XL base file addons
Edit, turns out it was instant action causing it, the proper load order was
yes because the game launches with both mods fine and is fully playable.
no because for some reason the additional skin for the Imperial Jump Trooper is replaced with a Droideka and uses sound files from said unit...for some reason.
thanks, I'm not in that server anymore so this link is actually pretty useful for me and pretty much anyone else that doesn't wanna join a server just to fix a few oversights that, in reality, should have been patched out over time. Who knows if that update will happen. one could only hope
I dm him on discord about it he didn't respond tho I really hope he does update the mod because he updated the textures and models for some of them and they look pretty cool he was even gonna add a tactical droid
if this mod gets updated then mesh duping has to be used because i see everyone complaining about drideka problems and mesh duping would fix this a lot especially emissives
Yeah, I'm really hoping this guy comes back and updates this with mesh duping. But it seems unlikely considering his lack of real activity since 2021. Unfortunate.
Read the sticky post to get a better understanding of what addons does what. The base file needs to be above all addons, read the descriptions of the addons or the sticky to understand what they replace. You cannot use two addons that replace the same asset or else whatever below will take priority. Lastly, some of the addons which have emissives may conflict with other mods that have modified emissives. With that being said, if you get an issue where the Droideka or B2 looks broken, do not use any of the addons for both of those mods or disable the mod you are using which conflicts with them.
I have the base file above all the rest of the files- just checked on some characters in the collection and they look wickedly mangled haha. I have other texture mods in use, so I'm wondering where I'm messing up here. Anyone here got any ideas? :')
Sounds like text edit conflict. This usually happens if you use a mod that has the old method of adding text with a mod that adds the new method from what I tested. You'd have to not just the MagnaGuard addon or find out which other text mod you're using and remove them.
