This mod is awesome, but would there be any way to make it not effect shotguns unless they have slug rounds? It makes all of the shot hit where the dot is.
Here's what you need to do. THIS mod, Laser Sight Dot Enabled, works really well for both vanilla and modded weapons but it only has the aimed version of the laser dot, which means any shotgun like weapon is going to have all shots go right to the laser. (This can actually be really useful if you have a mod that allows you to change legendaries and you want to have One Shot Punch for the damage but still have an accurate weapon.)
There's another mod that adds customization to the vanilla lasers so you can have either an aimed dot OR a cosmetic dot that worked the way things did with the vanilla laser beams (so shotguns still scatter their pellets like they should). https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/9088 Problem is, THAT mod also breaks any modded weapons that add laser sights.
The solution is to load the mod from the link FIRST and then load this mod, Laser Sight Dot Enabled, AFTER.
This way your vanilla weapons have the option via the workbench of having an aimed or unaimed dot with custom colors, and your modded weapons will have whatever version of Laser Sight Dot Enabled you chose (I think, though I'm using the invisible beam, aimed dot version myself, haven't tried the others).
Everything works perfectly for me, and the mod I linked allows customizing the mag weapons as well.
It's mindboggling that the Magpulse Weapons in Starfield have realistic "laser pointers" that are green and turn red when on target (which is COOL) but literally NO OTHER WEAPON with a laser pointer like the Maelstorm Assualt Rifle has a real laser pointer that actually reaches the target that you're shooting at. If only we can somehow make all of the laser pointers like the Magpulse Weapons. Regardless, this mod is the best laser pointer mod so far that can actually be used without crosshairs. Thank you very much and take care!
Wow, this is crazy good! Great work thank you! I only play in 3rd person and thought it might be OP based on the description but it's far from. Seems to remove the completly random flyers and bases recoil on the actual weapon vibration. Dare I say its more realistic.
With the new update it currently removes the cross-hairs from the REV-8 also. Any chance for an update if that's even possible?
Great mod! Just being curious, how do you correct the bullet trajectories? I've been playing the game without crosshair since day one and I haven't noticed that bullet impacts off the dots. Maybe turning on crosshair would affect bullet trajectories?
Am I missing something or why is everyone calling it yellow? The recon laser is neon green for me. Edit: Oh, the Va'ruun weapons. Completely forgot that they have their own one.
I've always hated that the lasers on weapons had no use since they did not point towards the crosshair, it was a big missed for me. Also, I haven't used HUD in this game for months. This is a GREAT addition to my gameplay. I really appreciate this mod. Endorsed By the way, it's not really OP because you still get recoil up that you need to adjust when firing automatic assault rifles. It's just perfect
It's OP as hell, that flag makes projectiles completely ignore accuracy and spread values and always fire perfectly straight. It even negates shotgun spread.
I am sure that what you say is correct. But in my experience, the shake from the bullets fired and the recoil up from the gun creates a natural spread. Like in specific tactical games such as Ghost Recon. It actually feels a lot like that game now.

Seems, however, that the recon lasers dont work, would you be able to add a dot as well to the recon lasers?
