Any chance for this for the Shattered Space? I updated my own mod to try to mimic the settings from the stock game but it does not make the planet as dark, or perhaps I do not understand what it changes on the image space.
Is there a way you can make a version about halfway between your Darker Version (NOT EVEN Darker Version) and the vanilla? I'm using a modded LUT's and the lowest version is making my nights almost pitch black. If I get rid of the LUT's then it's perfect, but then the game colors are grainy and have that weird tinge to them. I'd like to be able to get somewhere in between, if possible. :) Thanks! :D
So I been using this for the last couple days, since I updated to 1.14.70 (Steam), and man, I'm totally loving it!
Though the negative side being that it better shows/reveals how bad of a job Bethesda did with the lighting of the game. An example would be New Atlantis; the downward slope you traverse, after exiting your starship and leaving the landing area. There are areas open to the public, where it's more noticeably dark, like REALLY dark, so much so that it would be a massive safety violation (and liabilities galore, lol) if such a thing happened IRL, in similar publicly accessed city areas, lol. *SMH at Beth*
Anyhoo, hella awesome job on this, HW/HopeFulWish! THANK YOU for this mod! Endorsed! o7 ♥ :)
This is a fantastic mod with the new Rev-8. The Rev-8 has lights that illuminate what's in front of you. It can give you a feeling of driving in Jurassic Park on some planets where a big, nasty alien walks into the lights of your vehicle and scares you because you didn't know it was there before that moment
Love this mod so much, it adds so much more immersion and as many others have said Pitch Black is just too extreme.
However, that being said the major lack of any nightvision/thermal or brighter lights style mods makes it very difficult to use. My main issue is stealth and being taken out without being able to see them. cant wait to continue using this mod. Btw none of this is directed @ HopeFulWish this is purly discussion and feedback.
Will be curious about testing this in some of the main city areas to see how the night time contrast looks alongside the lighting present in some city areas. Downloaded to check out later and also endorse.
I'd like some details about how this works - realistically, in planets without atmosphere or with a thin atmosphere, the nightsky should be pretty bright and lighting up the surface decently, while planets with thick atmospheres (such as Earth) are more prone to block the starlight, resulting in dark nights. Is this accounted for, or do all planets lose starlight and nightsky visibility on the night side?
Of course in practice there are more factors, such as climate conditions / overcast, and nearby bodies reflecting the sunlight (like how on Earth the night is very bright during full moon but very dark when there is no moon), but this is probably way too much for just a mod haha

I think Pitch Black is a bit too extreme for me.
Endorsed + Kudos.
Love the idea!
