I just found you can add new textures while the game is running...Just add the texture. Open the builder and put your poster up. It appears straight away from my tests. I'm yet to test changing posters that are already mounted but that would likely require a reload.
IS NVIDIA NEEDED BECUZ I HAVE AMD AND IT WONT LET ME DOWNLOAD THE TOOL THING.. i tried my own work around but its not working... is there anyway i can successfully change the fille to a .dds any other way
@caedwyn, open a photo with paint.net then save as (file type must be dds ----> go to \Data\Textures\setdressing\yigh folder and choose 1 yigh ie number 1. then save it. open the game and scroll to the poster walla its there. thanks to the uploader for sharing man
I use BC7 RGBA 8bpp explicit alpha with auto-generated mipmaps for standard opaque images. I'm really not sure how other options might effect the result.
love it, maybe you can add a few more (smaller size) posters, or maybe even Monitors with custom screens on them?
"Paint.net" is also a easy free tool that can open .dds files and then you can just copy and paste whatever picture you want into the placeholder files the mod comes with.
Hi...You can make posters smaller by (save 1st) selecting the poster in the Console (its STAT number will appear), then try "setscale 0.5". If you selected the wrong thing (or nothing happens) reload and try again. (See advice in the Description/Youtube vid)

Paint.net is on one of those pages with 18 download buttons and you can't figure out which one won't download something you don't want. It's $9.99 on the Microsoft Store.
Works perfectly! I know they can be resized after placing them, but a few more of the smaller ones would be great as the large ones are nearly impossible to place in ships.
I'll look at adding another 10 of the smaller ones. I'm using this mod myself and I've used only one square and 7 of the 3x4 posters. ..aaand new version 1.01 adds 10 extra of the smaller 3:4 posters... I'll also look at screens....Cheers...
